Todd Kellner, my brother, and his partner Robin were involved in a devastating head-on collision with a drunk driver on February 20, 2026. The accident left both of them with serious injuries—Todd suffered head trauma and broken ribs, while Robin remains hospitalized with multiple broken bones. This sudden tragedy has turned their lives upside down, and the road to recovery will be long and challenging for both of them.

 As Todd faces his own healing process, he will also need to take time off work to care for Robin when she is able to return home. The mounting medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and loss of income are overwhelming. Help Cara Corder Recover from a Tragic Hit-and-Run

<div>I’m sure many of you have a "Bob story." As tough and intimidating as Bob can seem, I've seen firsthand how often he’s helped people he didn't even know. If he saw you struggling on the street, he’d offer you a place to stay. If you were short on money, he’d buy you a beer or give you whatever he could spare. I’ve even known him to save a life or two.

<div>Today marks day 20 of Bob being in the hospital. Without going into too many details, he’s fighting a serious infection in his stomach, and we don’t know when he’ll be discharged. What we do know is that when Bob finally gets out, he won’t be able to work for a while. He’ll have to visit the hospital daily for treatment to ensure the infection is properly managed with antibiotics.

<p>My name is Karen Lambie and my husband Jeff and I recently had the opportunity to visit my godson Matt “Matty” Peterson (my sister, Colleen’s, son) down in Arizona.  He has been tirelessly fighting Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for the past 4+ years and has been unable to work throughout the various treatments that they’ve trialed.  He put together a synopsis on his medical experience with his battle so far below:

<p>“When I found out my cancer came back as stage 4 mediastinal large B cell non Hodgkin’s lymphoma (originally had stage 4 Hodgkins in 2017 but got put into remission) we did high dose r-epoch chemo. That brought my masses from 3.5 inches on adrenal gland and 4 inches in my chest down about 60%.  So I then did my auto stem cell transplant in January with BEAM chemo before that to prepare for transplant.. Then when I had a Petscan 3 months later it showed my two tumors were both back up to 4 inches in my chest and 3.5 inches on my adrenal gland. So the BEAM chemo I did before the auto stem cell transplant and the transplant itself failed. So then we did CBV chemo and Car-T therapy. My 30 day post scan showed 30% improvement in my chest and 40% improvement on adrenal gland. I’ll have another scan soon to see if my car T cells are still working and killing the cancer. In the mean time during all this I haven’t been able to work much at all, barely any. And used up my savings to get by. Now I’m still sick and that’s either from car-t or possibly breaking down the tumors and possibly other things, or maybe the cancer (hopefully not).”

<p>First off, if you are reading this, thank you so much. I started this fundraiser knowing my younger brother (Matthew aka Mooty P) would be too proud to ask for help, so I’m going to do it for him.

<p><br />My baby brother is one of the most generous and courageous people I’ve ever known and unfortunately he is currently in his second battle with cancer.<br /><br />With the holiday season here, and on top of all the struggles with COVID-19, I know it’s financially tight for so many people.

<p><br /><br />“Turned out to be a 4 inch mass in my chest between my heart an lung area and was cancerous. Got diagnosed with stage 4 large B cell non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Then started chemo in early June. I’d have to get chemo for 5 days straight in the hospital each time with 2 week breaks in between. Then after a couple months of that got a petscan. Scan showed cancer went away about 60% but not enough gone to do a stem cell transplant. So had to switch up the type of chemo (got more aggressive chemo) and do about 2 months more. Then my recent scan showed just enough improvement and got the ok to start my stem cell transplant. I was able to use my own stem cells and we collected them before I started the more aggressive chemo. So I’ll be starting an “autologous stem cell transplant” on the 21st.”

<p>The Community Garden School is expanding to Cortez, Colorado, and Dr. Dave is on his way there with the garden school vehicle and Snow Leopard the cat. Unfortunately, he is currently stranded in Colorado Springs with a burned out transmission, and we need $2,500 to fix it. We are doing our best to raise money wherever we can, but we need your help! David is on dialysis, and has treatments every other day. He is making arrangements to have his treatment in Colorado Springs while we are getting the car fixed, but obviously he needs to get to Cortez (where he has his regular treatments set up) as soon as possible. Help! We Need a New Transmission!

Hi, my son has had juvenile diabetes, and is now 38.  He was admitted into the hospital On August 3rd 2017. Where it was discovered he now has kidney failure, and heart problems requiring both medication and dialysis three times a week. He is still in the hospital while they get his heart medication under control. He is going to need a kidney and a pancreas transplant. The average cost of the surgery is 250000, and 400 a month for anti rejection meds, after insurance. The funds would cover his cost for the surgery, if there are no complications.

<strong>Steve</strong>, aka <strong>Jeremiah Donovan</strong> unexpectedly passed away on January 16th 2017 (one day before his 60th birthday) from a heart attack or heart failure (cause of death yet to be determined.)  Sadly he was only able to enjoy 14 months of freedom before his passing. Within that 14 months he was reunited with his family and son Chad Donovan and two of his grandchildren. People that know Steve would say that he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. InMemory Steve Donovan aka Jeremiah

This is the most embarrassing thing that I have done in my life (and for those that know me, know that that says a ton). So forgive me as I cry while typing this.<br />I have lived in this house for 18 years, we all know it as Headquarters. It's the place you all go when you need a friend, or the place we all like to get together with friends. I am the first to open the door for a friend in need of a place for a while, or just someone who needs a place to rest their head for the night. Many of you have partied here, asked to throw your parties here or lived on my couch until you could get through a tough situation.<br />Now I need help. Because of my job loss a few months ago, we are very behind on our payments. If we don't get caught up, Headquarters will no longer be a thing.<br />After 18 years at this house, I can't imagine living anywhere else. But money is owed and it is time to call in the favors that I have given.<br />My family lives here and we need your help! Any little bit will do, as it all adds up. But all the holidays and general fun throughout the year will be done if we don't come together to raise some money.<br />It hurts me to even ask, but I have no time for pride anymore. I just want to save my home. Good juju helps also, if you can't afford financially. My family and friends are too big to fit in a cardboard box.

Damn the Man! Save Headquarters!

Our friend Kevin needs some help. He was in a serious accident where he lost part his right leg. This type of accident is not only difficult to adapt to, but it will put him and his family under tremendous financial burden. We are raising money to make sure Kevin has what he needs to adjust and overcome. We ask our friends in the progressive movement to lend a hand and pass the hat, because Kevin has dedicated so much to defending the earth and working people. He is an organizer who has inspired everyone who has had the opportunity to work along side him.<br /><br />In 2011 Kevin was on the front lines of the resistance to Scott Walker’s Act 10, which attempts to bust public sector unions and paved the way for massive budget cuts to public services like education. He was in the Capitol Building in Madison rallying workers to the cause and in the halls of his school, The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, organizing students to defend their education under the banner of Students for a Democratic Society. At UWM Kevin helped to organize a massive walk out in opposition to Act 10. This year he was involved in organizing a union at a restaurant as a member of the Industrial Workers of the World. His passion, humor and experience made him a leader at the worksite, inspiring others to stand up for their dignity as workers. <br /><br />After college Kevin traveled to Texas, where he worked to prevent the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. When the Penokee Hills and the Bad River Watershed in northern Wisconsin was threatened with the largest open pit iron mine in the world, Kevin was organizing to stop it. He and his friends put together an Action Camp to train people in tactics used to prevent resource extraction. Most recently Kevin was involved in organizing with Rising Tide to shut down a toxic petcoke storage facility on the South Side of Chicago. Petcoke, a byproduct of burning Coal, blows around particles in the neighborhood, causing higher cancer and asthma rates. Kevin participated in an action to blockade the facility along with members of the community. <br /><br /> In 2012 Kevin hit the streets of Milwaukee in demonstrations against the murder cover up of a young man at the hands of the Police. He attended weekly rallies for months. As the Black Lives Matter movement spread across the country. Kevin was there in the streets of Chicago and Milwaukee calling for justice. <br /><br />Kevin’s bands, Living and Wrestling and Marcy gave voice to these struggles and attracted a serious following.<br /><br />Right now Kevin is studying Anthropology at the University of Illinois, Chicago, where he works as a teaching assistant and is a member of the Graduate Employees Organization – American Federation of Teachers. We hope Kevin can resume his studies as soon as possible so he can continue to illuminate the world. <br /><br />Kevin has dedicated his life to fighting the exploitation of the working class and the earth we share. His knowledge, passion, and commitment has inspired countless people around him. We ask that you donate so he can have the resources to get back to doing what he does best. We need Kevin out there in the streets and in the woods of this planet.
