<div>Die Sommer.Film.Akademie (SFA) hat seit 2021 das Ziel, Menschen durch das Filmemachen über Grenzen hinweg zu verbinden und die lokale Kreativbranche zu inspirieren.

<div><strong>Es ist ungewiss, wie es mit der Sommerfilmakademie weitergeht</strong>

<div>Trotz des Erfolgs und der positiven Resonanz der vergangenen Jahre werden immer mehr öffentliche Gelder für die Realisierung solcher Projekte in der Region gekürzt. So haben wir in diesem Jahr nur ein Drittel der benötigten öffentlichen Gelder erhalten und viele finanzielle Lücken. Wie es mit der Sommerfilmakademie weiter geht, ist zurzeit ungewiss.

<div><strong>Was ist die Sommerfilmakademie?</strong>
</div>
<div>In zwei intensiven Wochen bieten wir Masterclasses und Workshops zum Thema Film an, für Neulinge und Fortgeschrittene, und drehen Kurzfilme. Getragen wird das Projekt durch den unermüdlichen Einsatz eines vielfältigen ehrenamtlichen Teams von Filmemacher:innen und Kreativschaffenden.

<div>In den letzten Jahren kamen insgesamt über 100 Teilnehmer*innen aus 15 Ländern zur Sommerfilmakademie nach Görlitz in der Lausitz. Einige der in den letzten Jahren entstandenen Kurzfilme liefen auf nationalen und internationalen Festivals oder dienten als Startschuss für weitere Produktionen. Sommerfilmakademie findet im Einzugsgebiet der Sorbinnen und Sorben statt, welche ein kulturell, historisch, landschaftlich spannender Ort ist und viel Inspiration und Material für künstlerisches Arbeiten bietet.

<div>Wir setzen uns aktiv dafür ein, dass alle Menschen, unabhängig von ihren finanziellen Möglichkeiten, kulturellen Hintergründen oder individuellen Bedürfnissen, an unserer Akademie teilnehmen können. Wir achten darauf, eine inklusive und unterstützende Umgebung zu schaffen. Durch Abendveranstaltungen und gemeinsames Beisammensein fördern wir den interkulturellen Austausch und ein starkes Gemeinschaftsgefühl. So schaffen wir einen Raum, in dem kreative Entfaltung und persönliches Wachstum für alle möglich sind. Wir vergeben eine Auswahl an Stipendien.

<div>We are reaching out to you with a heavy heart to save the future of a 15-year-old boy named Yasin. A few days ago, a horrific bus accident turned his world upside down.

<div>Yasin was a vibrant teenager, but that one moment of tragedy has left him bedridden, fighting a battle against permanent disability. His leg was severely crushed in the accident, and the X-ray reports show a devastating reality—his leg bone has been fractured into three separate pieces. The physical pain he is enduring is unimaginable. You can see the severity of his injury and the deep surgical stitches he has already received, but this is only the beginning of a long and expensive medical journey.

<div>The Heartbreaking Situation: Yasin’s life has never been easy. He lost his mother years ago. Now, it is just him and his father. His father is a very poor, hardworking man who is completely broken, watching his son suffer in a hospital bed. They have no savings or property to sell to fund the major surgery Yasin desperately needs to join his fractured bones back together.
