Amanda Ratliff

Amanda’s husband recently underwent emergency surgery to remove his entire colon after doctors discovered multiple holes. He spent three weeks in the ICU on life-support, and the family is so grateful he was able to come home just a week ago. Now, he faces a long road to recovery with a stoma and a wound VAC connected to his stomach, and he will not be able to return to work for at least a year. This sudden medical crisis has turned Amanda’s family’s world upside down. With her husband unable to work, Amanda is doing everything she can to keep things together for their children. The family needs help with everyday expenses, including gas to get the kids back and forth to school and to make it to her husband’s frequent medical appointments. He requires therapy and wound VAC care twice a week, and the costs are quickly adding up. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to Amanda’s family.
