My grandmother recently passed away due to complications from dementia and advanced age. She was 98 years old and, over the past month, her health declined rapidly. She developed severe sores that became open wounds, and an infection spread throughout her body. She passed away peacefully on the morning of March 25, 2026. While we are grateful that she is no longer suffering, her loss has left our family with an unexpected financial burden. It’s just me and my father now. He is almost 75 years old and can barely walk, so I am taking care of most of the arrangements and payments. My father doesn’t have much money, and I also have three kids and my own household to support. Balancing the needs of my family and my father has made it even more difficult to manage these expenses. I want to honor my father’s wishes by giving my grandmother a proper burial, but the costs associated with her passing have been overwhelming. We are reaching out for help from our community to cover the funeral home costs and related expenses. Any support you can offer would mean so much to us during this difficult time.
