My girl misses being able to walk, run, and jump! Every dollar counts to get her the surgery she needs Hi everyone, My name is Ashley, and this is my dog Lily❤️ My gentle, cuddly, and super loving best friend who has been by my side through some of the hardest moments of my life. If you’ve ever loved a dog like family, you know how deep that bond goes. Over the past few months, Lily has been facing two serious medical issues that I’m trying my absolute best to manage: ⸻ 1. A Torn Cruciate Ligament (CCL) in Her Hind Leg — Requires TPLO Surgery Lily recently tore her CCL (the dog version of an ACL), which means she’s in pain, can’t walk normally, and is at risk of permanent joint damage if we don’t repair it soon. The recommended procedure is a TPLO surgery, which has an excellent success rate and would give her a fully functional leg again. The estimate for this surgery: $5,500 - $6,500 ⸻ 2. A Mast Cell Tumor in Her Ear — Requires Surgical Removal We previously tried a less invasive option (a Stelfonta injection), but it didn’t work. After seeing a veterinary oncologist, the only curative option left is to surgically remove the tumor — which means taking off a significant portion of her ear flap. It sounds scary, but here’s the hopeful part: If we remove it surgically, the doctor believes it can be fully curative. She’ll just look like a quirky little half-ear queen, and honestly, I think she’ll rock it. The estimate for this surgery: $2,000 - $3,000 Lily is my emotional support, my daily comfort, my reason to get outside, move my body, and stay connected to the world. She has helped me through surgeries, flare-ups, heartbreaks, and some of my darkest days. She likes to get on her back and wiggle around so people can give her a belly rub and she loves to run around the park, And even though she’s hurting right now, she still greets me every time I come home with a tail wag and lots of love. She deserves this chance. She deserves to walk, run, and live without pain. She deserves to get this tumor out and move on with her life.
