What they care about

unemployed mother transitioning to homelessness with an 8 year old. praying for donations to assist with expenses while searching for employment.

Many thanks for the donations thus far (money and Amazon items). We are working with a 3 week time frame. My daughter and her roommates are transferring to a 3 bedroom apartment in preparation for us. This transfer did not come without exorbitant expenses on their part. This is not something they had to do but wanted to do to ease the experience for all of us. they will need time to move from their 2nd floor apartment to a different building on the 3rd floor before I move there. This allows me time to pack in a highly organized way. My things will go into a rented garage on site allowing east access to things and keeping only necessary items in the apartment. my goal in fun raising is to pay for the garage for 6 months, pay vehicle insurace for 6 months, pay for a haul, and maintain phone service for 3 months.
I'm a mom raising my 8-year-old son, and after losing my job of 18 years, we are now transitioning into homelessness. The hardest part has been losing the home I worked so hard for while trying to keep my son safe and cared for through all of this. My son was born with MCADD, a rare fatty oxidation disorder, so staying reachable and meeting his basic needs is especially important right now. At this moment, I have no income, no insurance, and no way to cover the essentials we need to get through each day. Any support will go directly toward the most immediate expenses for us: storage costs, keeping phone service active for my job search and for medical emergencies involving my son, vehicle insurance, and food necessities for him. I am holding on to hope during this difficult chapter of our lives, but I cannot get through it alone. If you are able to give or share this fundraiser, it would mean so much to us and help us hold on while I work to find stability again. I've also created Amazon wish list for my son's snacks. His condition requires he eats constantly all day even in class. This is an emergent need for him and a way he can be supported without donating money: Snack wish Non essential wish list
