<div>The Bay Area Mural Program stands as a beacon of artistry and expression, with each mural telling a story of community and resilience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recently, our commitment has been challenged: a new mural and a beloved older mural in Downtown Oakland have been defaced. These acts are not just vandalism but attacks on the values we hold dear. Our 'Colors of Solidarity' campaign is a testament to our unyielding stance against hate crimes and our dedication to preserving art.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your support we will restore these murals. Ensuring they continue to stand as symbols of peace and unity in our diverse community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar counts in this effort to revitalize our streets and preserve the soul of our city. Your contribution will directly fund materials, artist fees, and community engagement initiatives to not only repair the damage but also strengthen the bond between residents and the art that adorns our public spaces.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let's come together as a community to show that we all stand against vandalism and value the power of art to transform lives. Together, we can breathe new life into our streets and reignite the vibrant spirit that makes Oakland truly special.

<div><strong>A Message from Elijah's Friends:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Elijah Carder sustained serious, life changing injuries when 2 T-Mobile wireless antennas were recklessly installed on his apartment next to where he slept and worked from home. He is now fighting for his life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In May of 2021, Elijah woke with a hot, tingling and throbbing pain from the top of his head down the right side of his face and extending down his neck, shoulder and arm. He ended up in the Emergency Room of Huntington Hospital, thus beginning a long journey with doctors and specialists including from UCLA Neurology. Despite brain seizure and painkiller protocols including nerve blocking treatments for his headaches, Elijah suffers from ongoing chronic, debilitating headaches, as well as tinnitus, dizziness, and persistent fatigue.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>"This has been the most painful experience of my life, pure unadulterated pain, beyond anything I ever imagined possible, like someone took graters to my brain, moving all around my brain," states Elijah, even while he was on the prescriptions. He thought: "This is no way to live. I understand why people commit suicide."
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Medical experts have told Elijah that his injuries and pain are probably lifelong. This type of injury has been well documented by our own government. (1)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What happened? Elijah was injured by radiofrequency (RF) radiation emissions when two powerful wireless antennas were installed on the wall outside his apartment bedroom, 6 feet from his head when he slept at night, and 10 when he teleworked. Elijah was basically living in the billows of these antennas. These antennas are popping up all over the country in neighborhoods, in front of homes and schools, alarming many residents.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two and a half years ago, Elijah was a healthy, vibrant person, working at a job he loved and volunteering in his community. He is now disabled, possibly permanently. Yet, as he learned about the dangers of cellular antennas and how government agencies are failing to protect us, Elijah became determined to have his suffering serve a larger purpose: to educate others and to hold the cellular industry and government agencies accountable for public health and safety.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/75936583_1697784089642409_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These are the 2 antennas that were installed on the outside wall of Elijah's apartment bedroom, about 6 feet from his head when he slept and 10 feet when he was working from home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>GROUNDBREAKING LAWSUIT: SEEKING JUSTICE &amp; PROTECTION FOR ALL</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Elijah filed a lawsuit against T-Mobile and his former landlord in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, earlier this year. The merits of Elijah’s case offer breakthrough possibilities to grassroots community efforts to improve outdated and unsafe FCC RF radiation Health &amp; Safety Standards and regulate wireless antennas, which are being installed on residences, schools, workplaces, churches, street poles, and outside our homes where we live, work, learn, and play.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>WHAT WE CAN DO</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Like any resource that is controlled by mega-corporations, we must balance the right of corporate powers with the best interest of people and the planet. In the unequal playing field guaranteed by the combined half a Trillion dollar Wireless Telecommunications Industry and the corporate capture of the FCC and the media, we are left to fight against an army of Goliaths for safety regulations and guidelines that prioritize Public Health and Safety over profits. Let us stand with Elijah and win this landmark case to hold cellular corporations accountable.

<div><strong>Support Elijah’s wellbeing</strong>
</div>
<ul>
<li>Sustain Elijah whose medical bills and prescriptions are mounting. He is not able to work, and his only source of income is disability.
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Help win the court case</strong>

<ul>
<li>Make it possible to bring in the expert witnesses and investigators needed for the trial to state the facts and educate the jury and public.
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Make public education possible</strong>
</div>
<ul>
<li>One of Elijah’s goals is public education to help others avoid being injured. The trial can accomplish this if accompanied by a widespread public education campaign. For the health of yourself and your loved ones, educate yourself on these issues, and how to protect yourself and yours.

In Loving Memory of Richard “Xpres” Taylor

<div>On February 10, 2024, at 9:38 a.m., Atticus passed peacefully.
</div>
<div>In the end, the stress on his body was too much. His organs failed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His mom crawled beside him in bed, and he was surrounded by his dad and his siblings. They face-timed family, and his friends called to say goodbye.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As the meds were turned down and his heart slowed, he opened his eyes for the first time in 24 hours, Atticus looked at them and blinked twice.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Yes, I know you all love me.</em>
</div>
<div><em>Yes, I love you.</em>
</div>
<div><em>Yes, it’s my time to go.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Atti's smiles will be with us forever as will the love, strength and courage of the family as they shared this heartfelt journey over the past year.
</div>
<div><br />

<div>Financial support will be used to support the family in healing.

13 year old Rincon Valley neighbor hit by car

<div>On Friday, August 12 Slanguage Studio and other businesses on Avalon Boulevard were damaged by a massive water main break flood. The pavement had buckled near a utility pole, sending it toppling over. Water continued to bubble up to the surface throughout the afternoon. The streets, sidewalks, cars and businesses were submerged in muddy-looking water.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From front to back, water rushed into Slanguage at an uncontrollable rate leaving everyone ankle-deep in water and affecting the studio floors, furniture, walls and ultimately artworks. The residue left on the floor from the flooding will need to be professionally cleaned so that mold does not take over the studio.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Slanguage needs your help to cover the cost of a licensed, clean-up crew.

ARTBAR LA Needs help to survive

Our beloved Mario Ybarra, Jr. has been in the hospital since Dec. 8 with one night in the ICU. The doctors still don't have a full picture of what is needed for his recovery and aftercare. As anyone knows who has had loved ones in the hospital, it's expensive, <strong>even with the insurance Mario &amp; Karla have</strong>. <br /><br />Mario &amp; Karla need help quickly to pay for their deductible and additional costs associated with surgery and aftercare. Mario is diabetic and has a leg infection, a mass that needs removal, and he has been in extreme pain, now being managed. Luckily he is COVID negative. This is an evolving situation. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/53245828_1607809186298709_r.jpeg" alt="53245828_1607809186298709_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />We will provide updates as possible and desired by Mario &amp; Karla. This has been such a tough year for everyone—people are jobless, some have lost people they know or loved ones, everyone's been under stress and many, extreme duress. <strong>Thank you for taking time to read this, and please keep Mario &amp; Karla in your prayers and thoughts.</strong> <br /><br />This isn't going to be an easy road ahead, and <strong>anything you can give will be really appreciated!</strong><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/53245828_1607808501471121_r.jpeg" alt="53245828_1607808501471121_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />Mario 8 weeks ago, visiting the Orange Circle shops with Karla.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/53245828_1607808813547542_r.jpeg" alt="53245828_1607808813547542_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/53245828_1607810578393426_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="53245828_1607810578393426_r.jpeg" />Mario and Frida, of Frida and Diego. My brother Andrew Williams passed away on January 5th, 2021, due to a lack of social and mental health support that resulted in homelessness. The system is not set up to support individuals batting severe mental health diagnoses. Andrew is a part of our whole and we miss him beyond words. <br /><br />Andrew had more adventures, hardships, and freedoms than most people I know. We shared the same sense of humor and I keep that laughter in my heart. He was a natural creative and his music and art connected him with people instantly. He surfed with his brothers and was an amazing chef. He had a huge heart and his loss is felt widespread.<br /><br />We all wish there was just more time and it is so hard to say goodbye.<br /><br />This GoFundMe page was created on behalf of Andrew's family and donations received are going directly to the family and will be used in whatever way the family needs.

Hello friends and family of Bryant. We are creating this Go Fund Me page to help Bryant in this very unfortunate situation. As some of you may or may not know, Bryant was admitted around 9/3/2020 due to a stroke. This is his third stroke in the past year or so. He is currently in rehabilitation  at John Muir Walnut Creek. His is going thru an extensive rehab and currently is learning to walk again and move. He is paralyzed on his left side of his body. His needs assistance getting around in a wheelchair. His recovery as of now is unknown. <br /><br />As we all face difficult times, we need to be there for the ones we love. Bryant is going to need any assistance financially to help him thru this difficult time as he may not be able to walk. We all know he would do the same for us giving his big heart and loving personality. <br /><br />Please donate whatever you can. Please reach out to Fenwick Sereal if you have any questions as he is in charge of this fund. [phone redacted]. All donations will be given to his family.

Helping raise money for Bryant Grissette

Oakland Unified School District has been systematically closing public schools and privatizing education by opening billionaire-backed charter schools. The community has joined together to say ENOUGH! The group, Oakland Not For Sale, is working tirelessly to hold our elected officials on the School Board accountable and we now need your financial support. The children of Oakland are depending on us!<br /><br />Please donate what you can to support our advocacy and help us achieve our goals which are to:<br /><br />1. Have a moratorium placed on school closures until the 2020 election so extra funding from the State and the Schools and Communities First Initiative can be assessed. <br /><br />2. Demand that the County stop investing in the school to prison pipeline by reallocating $75 million planned to expand a youth probation camp back into public schools.<br /><br />3. Stop the privatization of our public schools by repealing Board policy BP6006 that allows the District to turn public schools over to charter management companies.<br /><br />4. Let the people see the money! Involve the community in making decisions around OUSD finances.<br /><br />Your contribution will help us save our schools!<br /><a href="http://www.oaklandnotforsale.com">www.oaklandnotforsale.com<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/44760976_1579056190456876_r.jpeg" alt="44760976_1579056190456876_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /></a>
