My name is Keana, and I am creating this campaign on behalf of a very dear friend, Kevin Simmons, a dedicated Minister, community leader, loving father and husband who recently experienced a life-altering event that none could have foreseen.

<div>On October 9, 2023, while serving his community through his work as an Uber driver, Kevin was tragically shot six times in a senseless act of violence. The bullets struck him in the face, left arm, right chest, left stomach, through his right ear which exited the left side of his face, and hands, leaving him with severe injuries that he miraculously survived. Today, Kevin stands as a testament to human resilience and faith, but the road to recovery is long and fraught with challenges.

<div>Currently, Kevin is bravely facing the reality of his injuries. He has lost the ability to hear from one ear and struggles with the use of his fingers, among other complications. Despite these hurdles, his spirit remains unbroken, fueled by his unwavering faith and the support of his loved ones.

<div>Ronald  is the father of my younger three siblings who had a restraining order on him for physical abusing my mother. Also my mother was just awarded full soul custody of my 3 siblings and was excited to move on from the mental, physical, and emotional abuse and trauma that has suffered at the hand of Ronald. Lakeyshia had eight children total.

<div>My mother went through all the avenues to insure safety from this man but he some how found our new address and plotted to kill our mother after she dropped my siblings of at school he waited until she returned home and took her life.

Our mother didn’t have any insurance and we were not prepared as her children to bury our mother. We are reaching out to the community for assistance.
