Hi, I’m Ashley Stock, a 48-year-old single mom battling stage four breast cancer that’s spread to my bones. My greatest joy is my high school-age son, and I’m fighting to be there for his wrestling matches, jiu-jitsu practices, and to make memories together—like a trip to see the Grand Canyon. But cancer and its side effects, like severe tooth decay that risks jaw necrosis, threaten to take that away. I need your help to keep smiling and living fully for him. My Story For six years, I’ve faced chemo, inflammatory arthritis, and financial hardship. I lost my job when I got sick, and my car—nearly paid off—was repossessed. Now, I rely on $1,311 monthly SSDI, but my Medicaid’s share-of-cost exceeds my income, leaving me drowning in medical bills. Chemo has destroyed my teeth, and without dental insurance, the approximate $24,000 needed for urgent dental work feels out of reach. (I've included quotes for two of the likely six root canals I'm going to need to save my life and allow me to resume my cancer treatment). My medication, Zeloda, risks jaw necrosis—a life-threatening condition—if my teeth aren’t fixed soon. (I’ve posted my diagnosis and Zometa pause letter for transparency—this is my campaign, and every dollar goes to my family’s needs.) As long as I'm battling these oral issues, I'm unable to fight my cancer and I just learned I now have tiny spots in my chest lymph nodes!
