Help a Mum of Two Fight Aggressive Cancer

<div>Hi, my name is Dovile, i am 34 years old. One year ago i been diagnosed with very aggressive tripple hit  Diffuse Large B cell  lymphoma cancer. Already received 4 different treatments and non of them have been successful. Consultants in UK giving up on me as there is no treatment options left. I am exhausted mentally and physically. But i can’t accept that it is terminal. I have a 3 year old baby girl, she is looking for her mummy to raise her. Our family funds already empty after one year of constant travel to hospitals and due to my husband having to leave the job to look after me and our daughter. We are planning to look for alternative treatments abroad, looking for second opinions, maybe for a miracle… I want to live and i want to see my daughter grow up, i am not ready to die yet.. I will fight till the end. Funds would be used for travelling abroad looking for new specialist and treatments, paying travel expenses.

Thanks to your kindness and generosity, I was able to undergo all the necessary diagnostic tests and begin my treatment. The first cycle of chemotherapy has been completed, and it would not have been possible without your help.

Currently, I am receiving treatment at Anadolu Medical Center in Turkey, under the care of Professor Zafer Gülbaş – a highly respected and experienced hematologist and bone marrow transplant specialist. For the first time in a long while, I finally feel that there is real hope.

Unfortunately, due to complications from chemotherapy, the overall cost of treatment has increased significantly. Right now, I am raising funds to continue with the next steps – including radiotherapy and a potentially life-saving bone marrow transplant.

<div>I find it difficult to put into words the overwhelming emotions and pain that are consuming me. My heart aches in a way I never thought possible, as I never imagined finding myself in such a devastating situation.

<div>My youngest son, Aitan, is a vibrant 8-year-old boy, brimming with life, joy, and energy. He is smart, loving, caring, friendly, kind, and funny – a pure-hearted soul. Recently, our lives were shattered when he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of cancer that affects the bones or the tissue around them. Fewer than 30 children in the UK are diagnosed with it each year. It’s also highly aggressive, which means it can spread quickly to other parts of the body.

<div>It all began with persistent pain in his left shoulder back in October 2023. Despite visiting our GP, who initially dismissed it as muscle pain, the pain intensified, accompanied by fevers, and eventually led us to the A&amp;E just before Christmas in December. After undergoing multiple MRI scans, X-rays, CT scans, and a biopsy, we received the devastating news, albeit delayed due to being outpatients, that Aitan had Ewing sarcoma. The tumor had grown rapidly on his shoulder/scapula, severely restricting the movement of his left arm.

<div>In March 2024, we were presented with a treatment plan that is nothing short of brutal and aggressive. Aitan must endure a minimum of 14 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and radiation therapy. We anticipate at least a year of ongoing treatment.

<div>This journey has been nothing short of a nightmare, every parent's worst fear. Our lives were irrevocably altered in a matter of hours.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've created this page to humbly ask for your help in supporting my beautiful, courageous son in his battle against this insidious disease. Aitan dreams of reclaiming his joyous childhood, filled with laughter and carefree moments.

<div>Financially, I'm struggling as I dedicate every moment to Aitan's care. Unable to work, I'm by his side 24/7, providing constant support and reassurance. Aaron was a very healthy young man, played rugby for a number of years and not for one minute did I think that we will be diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, NHS is unable to offer any alternative treatments, sadly treatments approved in Germany are not approved in UK. <div>After multiple biopsies and many medical tests, Isabella was diagnosed with vasculitis and livedoid vasculopathy. Despite this diagnosis, many questions remain unanswered. Doctors are still trying to understand the exact type and how to treat it effectively. This uncertainty is one of the hardest parts of our journey.

<div>Since then, her life has been filled with hospitals, tests, uncertainty, and treatments that don’t bring answers. She also lives with fragile blood vessels, which cause constant bruising across her body and painful skin wounds that can suddenly open. These are not just symptoms — they are part of her everyday reality, adding to the pain she quietly carries.

<div>Days that should have been filled with play and laughter have become days of waiting rooms, worry, and quiet tears.

<div>Isabella lives with constant physical challenges.

<div>Isabellai yra tik 9 metai. Prieš ketverius metus jos vaikystė pasikeitė visam laikui.

<div>Po daugybės biopsijų ir įvairių medicininių tyrimų Isabellai buvo diagnozuotas vaskulitas ir livedoidinė vaskulopatija. Nepaisant šios diagnozės, vis dar lieka daug neatsakytų klausimų. Gydytojai vis dar bando nustatyti tikslią ligos formą ir kaip ją efektyviausiai gydyti. Šis nežinomumas yra viena sunkiausių mūsų kelionės dalių.

<div>Nuo tada jos gyvenimas pilnas ligoninių, tyrimų, nežinios ir gydymų, kurie taip ir neatneša atsakymų. Ji taip pat gyvena su itin trapiais kraujagyslėmis, dėl kurių ant jos kūno nuolat atsiranda mėlynės, o odoje gali netikėtai atsiverti skausmingos žaizdos. Tai nėra tik simptomai — tai jos kasdienybė, dar labiau sustiprinanti tyliai nešamą skausmą.
