Hi everyone,
I’m asking for help for my 2-year-old dog, Badger. He’s a Husky x Labrador who means the world to me.
Since he was a puppy, Badger has always walked and sat a little differently. His back legs twist inward and he often trips over his own feet, almost like he suddenly forgets how to walk. Over the last year things have gotten much worse. He struggles with stairs, loses balance when lifting his leg to pee, sometimes scrapes his paws on the ground, and recently he’s been in a lot of pain — especially in his back.
Badger is the kind of dog who never cries or complains. He just keeps going until he can’t anymore. Lately he will walk for a short time and then lie down exhausted. Seeing him struggle like this has been heartbreaking.
After visiting multiple vets who didn’t take our concerns seriously, we finally found a vet who listened. They immediately referred Badger to the specialists at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists in Ringwood so he can have advanced tests like MRI/CT scans to find out what’s wrong with his spine, hips, and nerves.
Badger is currently on several medications just to manage his pain while we wait for specialist investigations, and we’re also having to run further tests to rule out other conditions. Unfortunately, specialist diagnostics and treatment are extremely expensive.
I hate asking for help, but I want to give Badger the chance he deserves to live a happy and pain-free life. He is only 2 years old and still loves to play and wag his tail, even on his bad days.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward:
