I recently rescued Poncho, an 11-year-old senior dog, from a shelter through a rescue just minutes before euthanasia. He is now my hospice baby, and my heart is breaking as I try to give him the love and care he deserves. Poncho was treated at Callahan Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, and I am facing an immediate $400 vet bill. On top of that, he is battling heartworm disease, parasitic and bacterial infections, and severe heart and lung damage. He is currently with his foster in Houston, and right now he is not eating or drinking, which has me deeply worried that he may need critical care.
I am asking for help because I cannot do this alone. Donations will help me cover Poncho’s current veterinary bill, his ongoing heartworm treatment, treatment for his infections and parasites, and any critical care he may need if his condition worsens. Because Poncho’s needs will continue over time, recurring donations would mean so much and would help me keep up with his treatment and care as decisions are made day by day. One-time donations are also deeply appreciated, and every bit of support helps. Please pray for Poncho, and if you are able, please donate to help give him this last chance. No matter the outcome, I want him to know he was saved, loved, and cared for at the end of his life.
