<div>Hi, my name is Larry Ziegelman, and I'm an award-winning, Chicago filmmaker and director, and co-writer on "Grave Expectations". I've been making films for the last 18 years: <a href="https://larryz.com/director" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">my reel</a> . Back in 2020, my former college roommate (class of '92) Jason Silberberg, wrote a short story entitled, "The Unrequited" and shared it with me. I immediately thought this needed to be written into a screenplay, and since it was the middle of the covid pandemic, we had the time to write it.

<div>For the next three years, we shared it with friends, wrote iteration after iteration and started entering it into competitions. 15 iterations and 10 festival laurels later, we finally decided this script needed to be made. It's clear that the story resonates with industry judges and we feel strongly that the film will most definitely as well.

<div><strong>The idea:</strong> Jacob has kept his childhood trauma of being bullied from his wife, Shira, for as long as they’ve been together. That is until tonight—their 10th anniversary. That’s because his childhood bully, John Markbreit, has “out-of-the-blue, dropped dead”. So tonight, Jacob has “gifted” a surprise nighttime trip through the cemetery, as well as his willingness to share his childhood memories to his wife. This adventure becomes an opportunity for bonding, catharsis and well…childish revenge.

<div>We have recently shot for two amazing days with funds from both myself and Jason, but those monies are now spent. We have yet to shoot in a cemetery and need the money to shoot the final day and finish the post-production. The "post" includes music, color, sound and finally, entering film festivals.

<div>Yesterday, on April 21st at 5 a.m., my father was leaving for work, and he saw two guys wearing hoodies stealing his catalytic converter. My father, if you know him-- is the type of person who always stands up to people or helps out the little guy.

Luckily, he was found by a neighbor who was walking their dog. If not, who knows how long he would have been on the street. The police were called, and he was taken to the hospital.</span>

<div>He is currently in the ICU with a fracture in his skull and eye socket. We are not sure for how long he will be there for. Luckily, his condition is getting better, and he seems to be in good spirits.

Texas Elementary School Shooting Victims Fund

<p>Hello! My name is Sharon and me, Jackie, and Julie are here to help. In 2018, Tom was diagnosed with colon cancer and went into chemo. In Oct. of 2019, the cancer made a comeback and Tom went back into chemo treatments in Nov. of 2019. He's still getting chemo treatments.Tom has Stage IV Metastatic Colo-Rectal Cancer. This cancer is chronic and he will need to be on maintenance chemo until a cure is found. 
</p>

<p>He is currently fighting a spread into his small bowels. This will last six months. At the end, his cancer will hopefully have shrunk enough to reverse his ileostomy surgery and reconnect his colon. Then, he will have six to eight weeks recovery time as his digestive system returns to normal. 
</p>

<p>Tom is an artist who worked his whole life bringing joy to others with his music and editing great films. Unfortunately, these things don't allow for any help regarding health care and keeping a roof over your head in times of need. Let's give back to a beautiful man who has given so much.

<p>Hello everyone.<br />We are trying to raise awareness and show support regarding a very tragic accident that happened to one of our relatives. She is a sweet little 10 year old girl named Yester and is currently fighting for her life at USC hospital’s  Intensive Care Unit. Yester's mother, Susanna Hovakimyan is a single mother working at 2 jobs trying to support Yester and her 2 siblings. Unfortunately, Yester's biological father is not capable of supporting them so therefore you can imagine the amount of load that Susanna carries on her shoulders to support her family especially now that she has to be a full time caregiver for her daughter as she requires a lifelong support. Please consider helping this family as Yester's medical and other costs are rising tremendously.

<p>...........Hi everyone,<br /> “I'd like to ask everyone to please consider helping a family in need.<br /> <br />On Saturday (1/23), at about 3PM, several of us responded to a call of a 10 year old girl (Yester) who had fallen out of a 3rd story apartment window.  As you can all imagine, the girl was severely injured, laying in a pool of blood and struggling to breathe.  This was a horrible scene, but what made it worse was seeing the twin brother of the little girl standing there as everyone tried to help his sister.  This little boy was amazing!  Most of his family members are deaf and the little boy did all of the translating for us.  I was so proud of him for being able to keep his composure and not cry during such a difficult time.  He was somehow able to do something most of us wouldn’t have been able to do. <br /> <br />Glendale Fire transported Yester to LA County USC, where she underwent several lifesaving surgeries.  Miraculously, Yester is alive but is in seriously critical condition.  If she is somehow able to pull through, we won’t know for months the extent of her life-altering injuries.<br /> After speaking with family members, we learned the little girl had been apart from her family for two years and was recently reunited with them only 3 months ago.  Even though her mother is deaf, she washes dishes in two different restaurants to support her family.  They don't receive any sort of financial assistance from the government and now with Yester being in the hospital, her mother is staying by her side 24/7.<br /> <br />Unfortunately, Yester’s biological father is in Armenia and does not financially support the family whatsoever.  Any support we can provide to this family would be amazing.  Every dollar counts, as there are so many associated expenses to this unfortunate tragedy, and I know they would really appreciate it.  Yester's family is very supportive of law enforcement and couldn’t stop thanking us for everything we did for them that evening.<br /> <br />Please keep Yester and her family in your prayers. Helen Jones Quality of Life Restoration Fund

Beatrice was only 8 weeks old when we were looking to adopt an adorable kitten. We chose Bea because of her beautiful eyes, however paradoxically, were doleful. We wondered what she was trying to tell us. <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/47695430_1588052610949745_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="47695430_1588052610949745_r.jpeg" />All was fine until we noticed that she would excessively pant, which is often an indicator of difficulty breathing. Our local vet diagnosed her with a heart murmur of IV, which indicates something more serious is going on and further testing is warranted. We were than recommended to see a cardiologist for an ultrasound exam that assessed Bea's heart muscle and function. Following the exam, the cardiologist revealed very heavy-hearted news regarding Bea. He explained to us that Bea has a rare congenital heart abnormality due to a developmental defect in her heart. It is not a correctable condition and most cats with this abnormality do not live past the first year of life. She will eventually experience congestive heart failure which will lead to death. He then asked us if we’d like to euthanize her because of her grim diagnosis. We abruptly answered "no" through watering eyes and decided we were going to smother Bea with love and provide the best quality of life for her, even if it was only for less than one year. <br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/47695430_1588052642682475_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="47695430_1588052642682475_r.jpeg" />Since this diagnosis, we have administered daily medication in order to slow the progression of fluid in her lungs as well as cardiac dysfunction caused by her abnormal heart defect. She continues to have regular exams to reassess her heart, lungs, and kidney function. This will continue for the remainder of her life. <br /><br />Bea will turn five years old in June! She kicked the prognosis of living less than one year to the curb! We are so fortunate to be able to spend extra time with her. <br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/47695430_1588052688964767_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="47695430_1588052688964767_r.jpeg" />Last week, we headed to the local vet to recheck Bea since we noticed she was coughing and experiencing a disinterest in food. X-rays revealed a very enlarged heart and blood tests, kidney failure. Perhaps the beginning of congestive heart failure. We will be taking Bea to the cardiologist this week to reassess her heart, lungs, and kidney function. Emergency visits will likely follow due to the fluid in her lungs and/or potential blood clotting. The only hiccup is cost. Bea is a cherished part of our family and we will do anything and everything to help her. Attention, beloved Bea, we are not giving up on you!<br /><br />It is always difficult for me to ask for help, but especially burdensome knowing we are all facing hard times during Covid-19.
