Hi everyone! I’m so excited to share that I officially passed ALL of the screenings and have been cleared to start the clinical trial!! I start Tuesday, September 1st! This specific trial requires me to be at Siteman in St. Louis for 12–14 hours on Day 1 of treatment days for medication, labs, EKGs and lots of monitoring. Because of the long days, we’ll be driving to St. Louis Monday night and staying through Wednesday. Getting to this point has felt like such a long process with so many tests, scans, labs and things that had to fall perfectly into place. We are incredibly thankful that everything came back within the parameters needed for me to participate and that I get this opportunity to keep fighting. The frequent trips to St. Louis will add another layer to an already expensive journey, so every donation, share and prayer continues to mean more to our family than we can put into words. Our biggest prayer now is that this trial WORKS. That my body tolerates the medication, that the side effects are manageable and, most importantly, that it stops this cancer in its tracks.
