<div>HELP US HELP OUR CHRISTIAN ❤️‍
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On July 15, our dear friend Christina suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm, turning her world—and the lives of everyone who loves her—upside down in an instant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York, where an incredible team of doctors and nurses has been working around the clock to save her life and care for her through an extremely difficult recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While Christina has shown incredible strength, she is still facing serious medical challenges and has a long road ahead. She is expected to remain hospitalized for an extended period, followed by more time of rehabilitation and recovery. Right now, her only job should be to heal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, life doesn’t pause because of a medical emergency.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just before this happened, Christina had started a new job, and at this time we don’t know what her insurance coverage or financial situation will look like. What we do know is that the medical expenses, lost income, and everyday bills will continue to pile up while she fights to recover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re starting this fundraiser to help ease that burden. Your generosity will help with:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>	●	Medical expenses and out-of-pocket costs
</div>
<div>	●	Mortgage, utilities, and other monthly bills
</div>
<div>	●	Lawn care, household needs, and everyday living expenses
</div>
<div>	●	Giving Christina and her family one less thing to worry about while they focus on her recovery
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve ever met Christina, you know she is the kind of person who would be the first to help someone else. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you’re able to donate, share this fundraiser, or simply keep Christina in your prayers, every act of kindness makes a difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for surrounding Christina with the love, support, and hope she needs as she continues this fight. We believe brighter days are ahead, and together we can help lighten the load until she gets there.
</div>

Help Christina Recover from Her Medical Emergency

<div><strong>At a time like this, there’s no one we’d rather hear from—no one who could comfort us more—than Big Steve himself. Steve, we keep looking at our phones, willing them to ring. Call us already, answer our texts. Please tell us this is all a bad dream.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Before we go further, let’s be honest: there’s no way to capture the impact of “Big Red” on the world. The more people you speak to, the more stories emerge. The more stories emerge, the more you realize how many lives are connected by him. So, let’s settle on this goal: we all knew Steve in our own way, let this help you remember Steve as you knew him best, and also hold his family in your heart.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>From Suffern to the world</strong>
</div>
<div>In early spring 1978, a gift arrived in Suffern. Not particularly large at the time, baby Steven—born to Jimmy and Janet, little brother to Paul, big brother to Karen—would grow into a true colossus.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Raised to be respectful, hardworking, and loyal, Steve had a sharp wit, a keen sense for people, and a knack for easing the burden in any situation. Athletic and optimistic, he was someone you could rally around, a steady presence who made those at his side feel secure.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In high school, his talents expanded to music and theater—strumming, singing, and acting—while also becoming an All-State shot-putter on the track team. Across school districts, the name “Redner” became household. Steve rarely walked into a room without being known.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Staying rooted</strong>
</div>
<div>After graduation, Steve combined athletic and merit scholarships to attend Ramapo College. Though he once thought about leaving the area, home—and the people in it—always called him back. Whether family or friend, Steve would never abandon you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In his twenties, his sphere of influence widened—tri-state bowling alleys, eateries, watering holes—where his generosity, humor, and uncanny memory made him unforgettable. “If you’re a big guy and you tip well, people remember you,” he’d joke. But it was more than that—Steve could recall the details of shared moments so vividly he’d help you relive them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Family first</strong>
</div>
<div>In his late twenties, Steve married Kitty and embraced fatherhood. Paige was born in 2005 on Grandpa’s birthday, and Steve was a gentle, devoted dad from the start. Three years later came Riley, and his heart (and arms) were full. He never stopped loving and caring for his girls.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By his thirties, Steve was a respected bank manager, was active in local service organizations including the New City Rotary, and was the hub of countless social circles, bringing people together just to enjoy each other’s company. He always noticed what we had, not what we lacked, and delighted in simple pleasures: a breeze through an open car window, a laugh with friends, a quiet night by a fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>A big man with a bigger heart</strong>
</div>
<div>In recent years, Steve would sit at the Haverstraw Elks Lodge overlooking the Hudson and dream of a cabin in the woods, a lake, friends and family around the campfire—his antidote to the chaos of the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Yes, Steve was a colossus, but his true magnitude was in his character. He accepted people as they were, loved them warts and all, and shared himself the same way. When you needed him, Steve may have been your comfort blanket, your shoulder to cry on, your guiding star, your ego boost, your anti-technology guru, or even your political analyst; as one dear friend put it, Steve “added texture to life”.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We loved our time with Steve so much that we sometimes forgot we were borrowing him from his most important role: dad. To Paige and Riley, he was protector, teacher, and safe place. Now his beloved girls are without their father. Nothing can bring Big Red back, but we can do for his daughters what he would have done for us—show up, ease the burden, and help them step into their new normal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After an old coach passed, Steve once wrote:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>“Life is so fleeting. No matter how hard we hold on, the sands of time will eventually and always slip through our fingers, with us never knowing when the last grain will fall to the earth and call us back to our maker.”</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We miss you terribly, Steve. We will carry you in our hearts and in our actions, until our last grains fall.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Please help us honor him by supporting Paige and Riley as they navigate this unimaginable loss. </strong>Your donation, large or small, will help with the costs of all of those things Steve would have provided including basic supplies, food, clothing, and college.

Honor Steve Redner: Support his Girls

<div>Hi, my name is Tiffany Volze and my beautiful friend and co-worker Kharleen has faced the most difficult past year. She found out she had breast cancer a month before delivering her son and has spent his 1st yr of life undergoing treatments. Kharleen and her husband are struggling and asked me to share her story in hopes that help is available. She is my coworker and friend and if you are in a position to help please consider it. Please take a moment to read her story. NO one should have to go through this. Thank you in advance.
</div>
<div>Here is her story:
</div>
<div>My name is Kharleen Ostrowski. I am a wife and Mom to twin 9-year-old little boys and a 9-month-old baby boy. I am also a Special Education Teacher for grades K-2.
</div>
<div>Anyone who knows me knows that I am a very private person. The last thing I would ever want to do is ask for help, especially financially. However, life changed for me last February when I was 32 weeks pregnant and diagnosed with Invasive and Focal Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. Although it was caught early, the biopsy showed it was very aggressive. Within a week I was forced to stop working as a Special Education teacher, which I had been doing for the past 15 years. My team of Doctors (Oncologist, Breast Surgeon, Maternal Fetal Medicine/Gynecologist) advised me to begin an aggressive Chemotherapy treatment regimen ASAP while pregnant. This meant I had to come to terms with the devastating fact that I had to complete 2 rounds of Chemotherapy while still pregnant, and then deliver my baby prematurely. Thank God, my son was born a perfectly healthy and happy baby. Within one week, life as I knew it went from being a full-time working Mom to a full-time Cancer patient at the hospital. Needless to say, this has not been the wonderful maternity leave I thought it would be.
</div>
<div>My treatment plan: Chemotherapy, Surgery (completed), Radiation (completed) and more Chemotherapy until the end of April. After radiation, I will need some recovery time from the fatigue and will also continue to work on gaining weight before beginning an intensive Cancer Rehabilitation at The Kessler Institute, as recommended by my Oncologist and Neurologist.
</div>
<div>My 9-year-old twins have been affected emotionally and academically. Emotionally, my sons went from having 2 parents who were always actively involved in their lives to 2 parents who have been out of commission for months. To deal with the emotional part, they will be getting counseling/therapy for coping with these recent life changes (my Cancer, my husband's life-threatening illness, and the birth of a new baby). For the academic part, I am asking for financial help as they have fallen behind in school and I would like to get tutoring for them to help them get back on track.
</div>
<div>As I continue to spend many days either at the hospital for treatments, Dr appointments and will be starting Cancer Rehabilitation in the next month, I am asking for help which would go toward childcare/babysitting, tutoring costs, meals, house cleaning, general living expenses, and medical/dental expenses until I am able to return to work. Please take a moment to read my story below.
</div>
<div>My Oncologist told me it would get worse before it got better, and it did.
</div>
<div>I had difficulty keeping food in and lost a significant amount of weight which slowed down my recovery tremendously. I became immunocompromised, got Covid twice and was hospitalized in May in the Covid unit while being monitored by surveillance cameras. After 1 long week in the hospital, my wonderful Doctors got me strong enough to go back home to my family.
</div>
<div>In July, as if my cancer was not enough, while I was receiving Chemotherapy at the hospital, my husband went for a stress test and in the middle of it the cardiologist shut it down and called 911. The Doctor said he could die any second. The paramedics came, administered medications and rushed him to the hospital. We were faced with making a quick, difficult and scary decision, knowing that there was a chance it may not go well. He underwent major surgery, a very complicated Quadruple Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery. It was 5 long hours of torture as I waited to hear that he made it. Once again, thank God.
</div>
<div>However, this left both of us not working and in poor health and long recovery to care for our 3 sons. He is slowly healing but will require several months of cardiac and physical rehabilitation due to all the muscle and nerve damage from the surgery. My parents have been our rock and have been helping tremendously to care for my baby while we are both healing as we spend many of our days between the hospital for treatments and doctor appointments.
</div>
<div>While I continue to undergo Chemotherapy treatments, the side effects I experience are fatigue, chronic muscle and joint pain. My significant weight loss also caused muscle loss and weakness. I will be getting Cancer Rehabilitation at Kessler Institute in addition to physical therapy to help me rebuild my muscles and regain strength. In the meantime, my baby is getting heavier and I cannot hold him for long stretches of time without getting tired and achy quickly. My husband can't hold him for a long time either because he has extreme chest and nerve pain. Also, as mentioned before, many of my days are spent at the hospital for treatments and doctor appointments. My dad helps to watch my baby, but that leaves me having to drive an extra hour and a half each day back and forth to his house to drop off and pick up our baby. This again puts a physical strain on my body and makes my achiness and fatigue even worse. I still need every bit of energy I have to help my twin 9-year-old boys with homework after they get home from school.
</div>
<div>I am in need of your help with expenses and costs while I continue to recover from cancer until I return to work. I want to heal properly and get healthy so that I can go back to being the best Mom to my 3 sons. My 9-year-old twin boys have not only suffered emotionally, but also academically while I have been sick and unable to help them in ways I did before. My 9-month-old baby deserves to have his Mom cuddle him, which I cannot wait to do more once the burning from my radiation becomes tolerable and I become stronger, but for now I am kindly asking your help by donating any amount. Even small contributions add up.
</div>
<div>If you cannot help financially, you can help by passing along my Go Fund Me link to anyone who might be interested in donating.
</div>
<div>Most important, for my sons who have been affected emotionally and academically and my 9-month-old baby I have not been able to care for as I should, please keep us all in your prayers.
</div>
<div>Thanking you in advance to everyone rooting for us.

I made an appointment and expressed that I thought she had a tummy ache. (She was farting...a lot.) The appointment was set around 8am for 1pm later that day.  Around 9am, I got up to head to the ladies room and Khaleesi tried to follow me. Her trouble with mobility seemed to be getting worse. She could barely walk and was dragging her back paw knuckles on the ground putting all of her weight on her front paws. I took a video of her trying to walk before I decided to rush her to the animal hospital around 9:30.<br />At the hospital, they preformed X-Rays, gave her a shot of cortisone and gave her fluids. Sent me home with pain meds, prednisone and muscle relaxers and told me, they hope to see improvement within 24hours. (All for the low price of $498!) Since her visit to the Animal Hospital, she has gotten worse. She hasn't drank any water since yesterday and has stopped eating today. She has lost all function of her bladder and I have to express her bladder for her. When I checked in with the vet this morning, they told me she needs to see a neurologist ASAP!!! I called the neurologist and to be seen it's $305, and MRI and other diagnostics she WILL need is $2300-$2500 and then surgery, which is likely needed with her symptoms will be another $5000-$7000 dollars. The neurologist explained that time is of the essence to prevent permanent damage, she needs these tests and more than likely surgery within the next week or so.<br />The funds I am so desperately asking for will be used for her MRI, surgery mobility assistance &amp; physical therapy treatment needed post surgery.<br />Khaleesi is my daughter. She is not just a pet but a member of my family. It KILLS me to look in her beautiful doe eyes and see her in pain and discomfort. She is the sweetest little girl and I can see the fear in her face. Please HELP ME!!! I can't stand to see her live in pain and I am drowning in the hopelessness of the situation. I'm trying to stay positive but it is so hard. <br />I have seen many people receive assistance through gofundme and I'm hoping and praying that with the help I receive, I can give Khaleesi the fighting chance at life she so very much deserves. Thank you in advance for any amount of donation and/or prayers. We'll take either or both! Please, help Khaleesi walk again! =(
