In the small village of Puerto Guadal, deep in Chilean Patagonia, children grow up surrounded by mountains, lakes, and untamed nature. But despite this extraordinary environment, the vast distances and isolation of our region keep them far from many educational opportunities. Extreme weather, long travel times, and limited access make it difficult for our children to experience diverse and meaningful learning.
We believe that nature is the most complete classroom and the wisest teacher. Through our Environmental Workshop, in partnership with Alma Verde Free School, students learn by planting, composting, caring for the soil, and understanding that their own territory is a source of life, knowledge, and future work.
Guided by Cristian Weber, a local educator and permaculturist, children learn outdoors every week—reconnecting with the land, cultivating respect, patience, and curiosity. This workshop has transformed the way they learn and the way they see the world.
However, keeping this space alive requires support: materials, tools, transportation, and funding to sustain the work of local educators.
Your donation can make a real difference.
With your help, we can continue offering nature-based learning, nurturing a new generation that values its territory and can build a sustainable future right here, without having to leave in search of opportunities.
Help us keep Patagonia as a living classroom.
