<div>Lauren and her 3 and 6 yr old children’s lives were forever changed two days ago when they learned they’d lost Olaf forever. At just 41, Lauren and Olaf were doing all the things that young working parents do; focusing on their babies and making ends meet. Together, they’d built a loving home, solid careers, and an environment of warmth and comfort for their two children.

<div>My name is Hani Almadhoun, and my family and friends live in the North of Gaza, Palestine. Most aid is being blocked at the border, and there isn’t nearly enough to fight back the famine or save my loved ones. So we decided to do something about it.

<div>My brother, Mahmoud Almadhoun, and his friends volunteered to start a soup kitchen in Bait Lahia, to provide hot meals to friends and neighbors. They bought four large pots, purchased wood for the fire, and risked their lives to dig up potatoes. They also purchased tomato paste and cooking oil, and three hours later, 120 families had food for the day. The next day 150 starved families ate from the kitchen.

<div>Word spread rapidly, and the next day, even more neighbors arrived. Mahmoud sprang into action, venturing out to procure ingredients for a fresh meal. He returned with leafy greens, onions, and mushrooms, crafting a new dish that was as delightful as it was nourishing. The kitchen's capacity has now expanded to accommodate meals for up to 3000 people daily, and the numbers continue to grow. For many, this was their first substantial meal in days, and the departure from canned food was a welcomed change that filled hearts with gratitude.

<div>You may wonder why these individuals can accomplish something that few have managed to do in the heart of starvation in Gaza. That would be a fair question.

<li>First, Bait Lahia has some farms where veggies and wild greens are now in season.

<li>We made sure they had the money to purchase these hard-to-find items.
</li>
<li>Additionally, they are located in the heart of the market, so they can easily spot any of these veggies and cooking essentials arriving at the market.
</li>
<li>They have also visited farms close to the Green Line to find veggies and have been lucky a few times. Once, they purchased overgrown zucchinis that should have been picked weeks ago.
</li>
<li>Mom and my sisters lovingly wake up early to peel and prep the food for the day's meals.
</li>

<div>As many of you, we at Lone Star Transportation watched in heartbreak as severe flooding swept through parts of Texas over the holiday weekend.

<div>This post isn’t about what we haul or the services we provide — it’s about standing with our neighbors during one of their most difficult times.

<div>Our hearts and prayers go out to the families who have lost loved ones, those who’ve been displaced, and the first responders working tirelessly in rescue and recovery efforts. We’re proud to have deep Texas roots, and with that comes a responsibility to help however we can.

<div>Hello Everyone my name is Crystal im a mother of two with 6 days left before we become homeless every day it gets harder to deal with the day knowing how hard I worked for my kids to have a safe place.

<div>I was talen advantage of my management when applying for the apartment which caused me to loose money paying for an apartment that was not even in my name loosing my car and job no money for a lawyer i tried to fight the eviction show all proof as exhibits for the court filing my own appeal and motion to dismiss filing a hud complaint which ended in me having to sign and give up possesion of the unit they get to just walk away amd be ok. But for my family it wont be so easy as i dont have family support. If you can find it in your heart to share please share what ever you can give will be greatly appreciated as i will be ensuring that i find a better place (neighborhood) to move my children to and get transportation so i can get back working and get my kids the education they deserve as well as continue with mines. Im still currently attending CTU online but im failing my courses as i cant keep a clear conscience to do so. Im crying for help yall i need someone lord please
