COMMISSARY

COMMISSARY grew out of a period of rebuilding in my life and work. My background is in fine art collections management and logistics — a field centered on care, material sensitivity, and the quiet systems that shape how we live with objects. Over time, I became increasingly drawn to the everyday environment: the lighting, tools, vessels, and functional pieces that define daily life but are rarely presented with the same thoughtfulness. COMMISSARY is a small, design-driven retail concept focused on useful, enduring objects — thoughtfully selected, handcrafted, and vintage pieces chosen for material quality, function, and visual calm rather than trend. This is a woman-owned, disability-owned, community-focused venture. As it grows, I hope it can also create flexible, second-chance employment opportunities for others navigating nontraditional paths. Funds raised will support the essential early foundations: initial inventory, product photography, packaging and shipping materials, and the basic operating expenses required to launch responsibly.
