My brother-in-law, Kayvan Navidi, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from a sudden heart attack.  He was only 54.  Kayvan was husband to Diana J. Donley, father to their 12-year-old son and best friend Ary Q. Navidi, son of Forough Navidipour and the late Mohammad Jafar Ayat, and brother to Kia Arian and Kianush Dixon.  He had a passion for music, played blues guitar and had a tremendous love for his family, who were the world to him. He would say “You can have all the possessions in the world, but if you don’t have family, you have nothing.”  He loved cooking, classic cars, making silly jokes, and getting everyone to laugh out loud. He was dearly loved by his whole family and friends—our hearts are broken. For those who have reached out and would like to help, we have established this fund to provide a way to support his family during this difficult time. Any help would be greatly appreciated as well as continued prayers for the family. Thank you!

Remembering Kayvan Navidi

Buddy Curilla has been a well known pianist and piano technician in the Washinton, DC area for well over 50  years. He recently underwent back surgery to alleviate the worsening pain he has lived with for the last decade. As he was recuperating, he had to be hospitalized again for blood poisoning originating in his legs. After that was arrested it was discovered that some of the hardware put in place during his back surgery had dislodged and another surgery has been scheduled. Buddy is still in a great deal of physical pain but there is also the worry about how to handle the mounting medical bills. We can't take away his pain but we can help with the financial worry. It would be an incredible boost to both Buddy and Cindy to be reminded how many people care.

For my wonderful and selfless friends Kelly and Scotty. We all know during last Saturday's their flood building was severely damaged and recently it was confirmed that it will take months before they can access it safely to retrieve their belongings. This is the second time that their lives have been  impacted by a flood in EC. In the middle of all this heartbreaking event, Kelly is dedicated to helping out the community non-stop and coordinates and consoles the flood victims through the Ellicott City Partnership and keeps positive.  Now, her family need our help and I'm sure that love will be pouring in!  We are all in this together. Thank you for anything you can give.
