<div>Hello all you wonderful humans. My name is Melody (my cat is Pattern), recently divorced and I'm hoping for some help in starting over. I'm still living with my ex but am expected to leave sooner rather than later.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've got a big move coming up very shortly and I could use any help to make it a little smoother. Not just with the move but a little cushion for the other side as I get situated. I'll be moving in with my girlfriend and we could use all the help you can give to support rent etc while I get set up. She's sacrificing a lot to help me so support for me is also support for her. &lt;3
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks for your time and any charity you can offer, you're wonderful and loved. &lt;3
</div>

A Fresh Start for Melody

<div>Hey my loves! My name is Alice.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m a trans woman living in Canada and I spend my days between work, activism, and acting.
</div>
<div>My activism takes up most, if not all, of my free time. Unfortunately, it doesn’t pay. I take it to heart and I’ll never stop. But that does mean, in a world where trans people don’t get their needs met, I have to find a way to still fund my last surgery somehow.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/89750471_1742583716793921_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I just found out my new insurance covers part of my gender affirming surgery, but only up to a certain extent. And to keep the estimated price and reserve a spot, I need to put in a deposit of 25% minimum.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The surgery is a BBL, and it costs between 18 000$ and 28 000$ (taxes included).
</div>
<div>I’m still waiting to hear how much my insurance will be willing to cover. I’ve submitted the estimates and paperwork, but I’m waiting on their answer. The maximum covered would be 15 000$, but that’s IF they want to give that 15K and we all know how insurances tend to be about that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So this means I have to find a way to raise (at best if they authorize the full 15K$) between 4.5K$ to 13K$.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve hesitated asking for help because so many of my community is currently struggling given everything that’s going on against us. I generally don’t ask for any financial support online, but I figured maybe just this once.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can, and only if you can, I’d be so grateful for your help
</div>
<div>Times are tough so if you can’t, may I ask that you share it with people you know and love?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for reading this and thank you for considering supporting my journey. I’m immensely grateful to all of you who have been supporting my activism and content this far. And I’m thankful for all of you who are helping here today.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sending you all so much love
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your trans sister,

My Last Gender Affirming Surgery!

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you in advance for your time and interest. I am a trans Kansan who is currently seeking assistance during this time of sudden relocation. I am currently in much debt as I have taken out college loans, however, the good news is I am set to graduate with an associates degree in liberal arts in May. I am a non-traditional student who is in her fifties. I was homeless after high school for six years, due to being undiagnosed with ADHD and trauma from cPTSD that developed from years of being raised by transphobic parents.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My plan to move forward onto a bachelor's degree might seem too far out of reach, especially considering I am unsure of my future when I resettle. I had wanted to teach English Language Arts in a public school, but I changed my mind after years of being labeled terrible misnomers. To get to the point, my time living in this part of the world is coming to a close, a new chapter of my life is beginning, and I'm afraid that means it has once again become time to ask for the help of strangers. When I was homeless, it became a point of pride to ask as little of others as possible. I do not have this luxury as the state of Kansas has made it literally impossible to feel safe inside its borders.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The good news is I have already found a landing spot in Oregon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The problem is there will be a span of time when my life falls into a sort of limbo, and I simply do not have the resources to disrupt my life suddenly to make a move two thousand miles away. I am, hopefully with the pride I still feel able to muster, asking you for your monetary assistance in helping me. I am an out trans woman of two decades living in Kansas. I have given many spoken engagements describing my experience to my community. I have even helped to raise some of their children. I truly hope the many contributions I could point to help you to understand how much I am giving up, as I hope this desperate plea helps you to understand how difficult this is for me. Thank you for reading to the end. Thanks especially to all who donate, no matter how small the contribution seems, I assure you that it means the world to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love,
</div>

Please Stand With A Trans Kansan In Her Time Of Need

<div>Hey, y'all. My name is Liz. I'm 42, a grad student in Basel . I've been married for 21 years, have a 13 y/o daughter, and a 9 y/o rescue dog from .

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I am writing today about my younger sister. She's 34, trans, and currently unemployed and homeless in Tucson, AZ. She came out as trans "late" in life (in her mid/late-20s) and has had a lot of issues along the way. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that life isn't easy for trans women.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Last year, she lost her job. She then lost her apartment, despite constantly looking for work. She's applying and interviewing, but nothing has gone her way.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Longterm, she'd love to relocate to Chicago, IL, as it's a much safer state for her to live in, but for now, the concerns are feeding herself, feeding her cats, and being able to clean up enough for job interviews, etc. (It's hard to nail an interview when you haven't showered, you know?)

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Her list of financial needs are modest; please help her however you can. (If you can't contribute financially, please share this page!)

</div>

<ul>

<li>cat food

</li>

<li>laundry

</li>

<li>toiletries

</li>

<li>phone (6 month payment)

</li>

<li>storage unit (where she's currently living)

</li>

<li>cloths for interviews

</li>

<li>access to shower facilities

</li>

<li>cleaning supplies

</li>

<li>food for herself

</li>

</ul>

<div><em>This is one of the last pictures I have of the two of us. It's from October 2018, when I was able to visit family in Seattle, WA, and flew my sis to visit as well.</em>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Our life growing up wasn't easy, and with our age-gap, I have spent a lot of time taking care of my sister in a parental role. It's killing me that I can't fix this situation for her, but I can't. And so I'm humbling asking you all to help me, help her.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thanks
