We are SEND Dads Society, a group of men who are all fathers or male parent carers of children, young people or adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities based in Greater Manchester who meet up once every two months to share experiences and provide support for each other. A key focus for our group is to also raise funds to provide Sensory Equipment for mainstream primary schools who are underfunded in Greater Manchester. We are climbing Mount Snowdon (dressed as our kid's favourite characters) on Sunday 11th October 2026 to raise money to provide much needed Sensory Equipment for Dial Park Primary School in Stockport. Dial Park Primary like other mainstream schools support many children with individual and SEND needs but unfortunately the funding required to provide Children with much needed Sensory Equipment to help them thrive just isn't provided by the government. The staff at Dial Park Primary School will be putting together a wish list of sensory equipment that will help meet the needs of all children attending the school. We hope the funds we raise and in partnership with Findel (Sensory Equipment Provider) we can ensure this wish list is fulfilled and provided to the school after the fundraiser.
