<div>In 2012, 2 weeks after my wife and I got engaged, I was diagnosed with Follicular Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It's a slow growing cancer that we found only by divine intervention. The day we got engaged, we had a car accident, and in the course of receiving treatment in the emergency room, the doctors found what they thought was cancer. My treatment plan was officially "watchful waiting" which is medical speak for "we won't do anything until it starts trying to kill you." I remained in that care plan until December of 2020. Over the prior few months, I had begun having difficulty swallowing. Tests run in December of 2020 found that my cancer which had been localized to my abdomen had spread to my throat. My doctor did not expect this, and after a series of other tests, it was found that my cancer had gone through a rictor transformation. My cancer was no Diffuse Large B Cell lymphoma, a much more aggressive but much more treatable cancer. So for 6 months in 2021, I underwent chemotherapy. In June of that year I was declared cancer free. The last 2 years have been very difficult as I have struggled with the after effects of chemotherapy. It is only recently that I had finally begun to feel semi-normal.

<div>Unfortunately, the biggest fight is yet to come. My wife and I have both been experiencing a lot of health issues recently. For the last year, my wife has been working with her doctors to discover what is causing a few different issues. Over the last few weeks, I've noticed a large mass in my neck that had me concerned that my cancer had returned. This morning, Saturday November 11, 2023, my wife and I received the news from our scans that we had yesterday, with the news that we dreaded we would hear. I have multiple lymph nodes in my throat and upper abdomen that are consistent with recurrence of my cancer. Obviously, not great news, but it is at least confined to a small area. However, my wife's scan showed that she also has cancer, which has metastasized to multiple areas in her body: lungs, abdomen,etc.

<div>To say that we are gutted would be an understatement. This was about the worst possible news that we could receive this morning. We have faith that God is good, but we would be lying if we said that we understood what He was up to with what we are now going through. We are starting this fund because we are still trying to pay off bills from my first round of chemo, plus all of the diagnostic tests that have led up to us finding the results which we received this morning. We appreciate any help that you are able to provide, and we greatly covet your prayers. We will use these funds to pay for medical expenses, and should the news from the doctors next week be what we hope they are not, we will also use them to make the most of the time we have with our two children.

<div>I am Jessica Iglesias and I am raising funds for my dear sister-in-law, Laura Sanders. She was hospitalized two weeks ago with severe body aches and inability to walk. After a battery of tests, doctors diagnosed her with MS. Laura and my brother Joey have a long road ahead of them with medical cost and loss of work. As many of you know Laura is a very hard working mother and now grandmother. She has spent her entire life in physically demanding jobs and caring for everyone she loves. Laura was released to an in person rehab facility in Salem to build strength to walk better and regain many of her everyday functions. She will be out of work for an unforeseen amount of time and anything you can give will help my brother and Laura tremendously. This is a scary time for our family and especially my brother, who has loved Laura since they were just teenagers! If you’d like to give privately, you can message me, or even a share would help! Help Laura Sanders fight her MS diagnosis!

<p>Laurie has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung and stage 3 pancreatic cancer.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/29744062_1526331538.8997_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />This past December (2017) Laurie found herself without appetite, suffering from severe shortness of breath and stabbing stomach pains. She was so ill, she called 911.  Over the following four weeks, a whirlwind of bloodwork, x-rays, CT scans and an MRI revealed, in addition to a 28 pound weight loss, cancerous tumours on her pancreas and left lung. When the dust settled, Laurie was told, that without treatment, she had less than four months to live. With successful treatment, the doctors say Laurie may have another year, maybe two.  Heart-wrenching and devastating news for anyone never mind one who has been so active and full of life... til now.<br /><br />Laurie started chemotherapy immediately and alarmingly, during the first round, her heart stopped from one of the chemicals in the preparation. She was revived and suffered no apparent ill effects but, a terrifying moment for her to be certain. Changes were made and her chemotherapy continues with no such further problems. <br /><br />Laurie has lost in excess of 28 pounds and is currently struggling to maintain even 100 lbs, she is very weak and lacking in stamina, side effects of the chemo include loss of appetite and hair loss, currently falling out by the handful. The climb up the stairs from her basement apartment saps what little energy she has. Adding to her struggles, she has been given notice that she must move due to her landlord selling the house and is now desperately searching for a new home.<br /><br />Her car, which could aid in that search; trips to chemo and simple things like grocery shopping, sits in her driveway requiring some minor repairs and insurance. The car could restore independence to this once vivacious and cheerful woman. Laurie lives on a small fixed income that barely covers accommodation and food. She relies on the generosity of nearby friends for transportation and simple housekeeping chores. Unfortunately there are many occasions when no one is available to help when she is in need. <br /><br />Lauries' situation is desperate needing both financial and emotional support. Since giving up her position with the garden centre, because of her illness, even small expenses become insurmountable obstacles. <br /><br />Laurie's hair is falling out and will be completely gone in two weeks if not before.  A good wig, needed now, will go a long way to lifting her spirits. Car insurance for the next year, hopefully longer, repairs for her car to make it roadworthy, a crown for her tooth, a new laptop since her old one has died. Eye glasses redone to her changing prescription. Healthy food with a budget for organic and GMO free choices and holistic supplements. Chiropractic treatments that have proven to provide relief from her chronic lower back pain. These are just a few of the items that would greatly improve her quality of life over the coming months and assistance that she would be eternally grateful for.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/29744062_1526329758.4626_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />None of us knew how dire the situation was for Laurie at the onset, yet she remains positive, fun-loving, caring, always thinking of others, with an incredible sense of humour. Her attitude is truly beautiful; She is the best friend anyone could ask for and is always giving to others. Now, with her prognosis, needing all the optimism she can muster and our shock at such a sudden and dramatic turn of events, we need to gather around and support our dear friend. Return the Sparkle to Laurie's Life

This campaign is for our dear friend, Marly, and her oldest son, Kaden.  <br /><br />Most of you know Marly as a calm, loyal, generous friend who always puts everyone others ahead of herself.  She is a talented teacher, a wonderful wife and mindful mother to 3 young children.  Marly has been an inspiration for all of us.  <br /><br />Let's now show her that we are here, as she has been there for us all these years.<br /><br />Unexpectedly last week, her oldest son Kaden was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. This is a rare disorder (1 in 100,000 people) in which the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. The first symptoms of this disorder include varying degrees of weakness or tingling sensations in the legs. As a result, Kaden has lost most of his muscle function and he is unable to move his legs, arms, neck, and cannot sit up.  His respiratory muscles have been seriously affected and he is currently being assisted so that he can breathe.  He is also fighting pneumonia.  He is in the ICU of the Dalian Children's Hospital, but in a few days time, he will be airlifted via helicopter to Beijing’s Children's Hospital.  It is estimated that he may be under treatment and rehabilitation in Beijing for 6 months.  Sadly, this once active little guy will have to re-learn everything from walking to holding a spoon.  It is a heart breaking prospect.  <br /><br />Any funds raised will help allay some of the expensive medical bills, the loss of wages for the family, the living costs for Nono for the next 6 months in Beijing and the travel costs for Marly to visit Kaden and Nono on the weekends. <br /><br />For the next few months, Kaden will be healing. Him and his family will need all of the love and support possible to heal comfortably, as well as any financial support that can be provided. No amount is too small and every little bit will help. I personally assure you that, Kaden and his family deserve every penny, every hug, every thought, and every prayer we can send them.<br /><br />Let’s come together and see if we can help relieve some of the heavy financial burden currently being shouldered by this beautiful family.

Kaden's Medical Fund 

Megan Hadden Fields was a wonderful nurse, friend, daughter, aunt, wife, and mother. She passed suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, January 17th in Shoshone, Idaho leaving behind 2 bright little boys, 2 step-daughters, and a dedicated husband among many other family and friends. <br /><br />I had the honor of working with Megan for several years at the Shoshone Family Medical Center. As my wife and I were discussing how much we could afford to donate to a clinic fund that was being established, I felt like this was something else I could do for Roger and the boys. I hope this effort will allow others easy access to give something back. If you have the means, please donate whatever you can to help offset funeral expenses and to assist with the care of Megan's young family.<br /><br />The absolute deadline for this project is one month from the time of Megan's passing.<br /><br />Megan, you will be missed.
