At Ohana Rottweiler Rescue, we see it every day—senior dogs who are just as loving, just as loyal, and just as deserving as any other dog… but are often overlooked simply because of the medical care they need. That’s why we created The Golden Fund. The Golden Fund is a dedicated program within our rescue that exists for one purpose: to give our senior Rottweilers the care they need to live comfortably and be adopted into loving homes with no adoption fee. This fund covers essential medical care, including: Dental cleanings Spay and neuter Veterinary exams and diagnostics Ongoing medical treatment when needed Senior dogs deserve to live their golden years with dignity, comfort, and love. By removing the financial barriers of medical care, we are able to say “yes” to the dogs who need us most—and place them directly into homes without placing that burden on adopters. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations to The Golden Fund are tax-deductible. Why This Matters When a senior dog comes to us, they often need more than just a home—they need care. Without support, many of these dogs would never get the second chance they deserve. The Golden Fund ensures that doesn’t happen. Every donation goes directly toward preparing these dogs for adoption and giving them the comfort they’ve earned after years of life. Our First Golden Fund Dog: Charlotte Charlotte is a 6–7 year old Rottweiler currently waiting in a holding pen. She is incredibly sweet with people and great with other dogs—but like many seniors, she needs medical care before she can move forward. Charlotte is the reason The Golden Fund exists. Your support will help us cover her spay, dental, and medical care, and allow us to bring her into our rescue and place her into a foster home where she can finally feel safe. How You Can Help Donate to support Charlotte and future Golden Fund dogs Share this fundraiser to help us reach more people Apply to foster if you’re able to provide a calm place for a senior dog to land Together, we can give these dogs the lives they deserve. Thank you for being part of The Golden Fund—and for helping us change the lives of senior dogs, one dog at a time.
This week, we welcomed three very special dogs into our care — Gemma, Skye, and Breezy. Two mamas and their 8-month-old puppy who came from a hoarding situation involving more than 50 dogs. They are now safe, but they have never received adequate veterinary care and have never truly had the chance to just be dogs. On Friday, we are taking the two older girls in for full veterinary care, including: • Spay surgery • Vaccinations • Deworming • X-rays • Comprehensive bloodwork Their estimated vet bill is close to $2,000. We have already received a generous $500 donation, and we are so grateful. We are raising funds to cover the remaining medical expenses so these girls can begin their new lives healthy, safe, and protected from future litters, and to help treat any ailments they currently have. Spay and neuter are critical tools in preventing accidental litters and long-term suffering. Gemma, Skye, and Breezy are safe now. With your help, they can finally experience stability, medical care, and the life they’ve always deserved. Every dollar goes directly toward their veterinary care and rehabilitation. Thank you for being part of their second chance.
We’re raising funds for Salem, a 1.5-year-old Rottweiler with the most loving heart and joyful spirit. Salem came into our rescue after having double eyelid surgery to correct Bilateral Entropion, a painful condition that causes her eyelashes to turn inward and rub against her eyes. Unfortunately, her original surgery wasn’t done properly, and after seeing a board-certified ophthalmologist, we’ve learned it must be redone. The specialist quoted $5,000, but one of our amazing local vets has offered to perform the surgery for just $1,000 — a truly attainable goal that will give Salem the pain-free life she deserves. Her procedure is scheduled for December 9th, and every dollar raised will go directly toward her surgery and recovery care. Salem is one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever had the privilege to help — she’s great with kids, adores other dogs, and brings joy everywhere she goes. Please help us give this incredible girl the second chance she deserves. Thank you for believing in her and in the work we do. ❤️
Help Us Get Answers for Dill Pickle Our sweet, goofy boy Dill has been thriving in his foster home — splashing through puddles, proudly carrying around his favorite duck toy, and learning his manners one silly step at a time. But Dill also has some challenges we’re trying to understand. His foster noticed a twist in one of his legs and some quirks with how he uses his mouth. Our vet has recommended a CT scan to help us figure out what’s going on and ensure he keeps living his happiest, healthiest life. The scan is estimated to cost around $2,000, and we’re hoping to raise it in small steps. Dill has already received two different surgeries to address a bone infection of the jaw, neuter, and an additional jaw surgery, and we'd love to get the answers we need! ☕ Will you skip your Dunkin’ coffee today to help Dill out? If everyone reading this donated just $4.50, we could have the cost of his procedure covered in a day or two! Dill meets all the marks that make a case like this worthwhile — he’s young, full of life, has a stable temperament, and an excellent prognosis for a long, happy future. We only fundraise for procedures when we truly believe they’ll improve quality of life, and Dill absolutely deserves that chance. Every share and every dollar makes a difference for our sweet Derpy Dill Pickle!
