  2. PLEASE HELP! Before anyone reads this we just want to thank everyone who takes the time to read our story! Whether you’re able to help or not! We are grateful either way! The predicament that we are in right now is not for a lack of trying that’s for sure. Just can’t seem to catch a break or anything right now. We are really hoping humanity will come together help us. Like we are all supposed to help one another.  My wife and I, (Shannon J. And Francisco R.) along with our two dogs (Ace and Rico), are facing a difficult time. We’ve always worked hard and kept to ourselves, hoping to start a family and build a stable life together. We live in Cape May County currently and have worked so hard to get to where we are right now. Over the past year, things have taken a turn for the worse. My wife was wrongfully terminated from her job of five years nine months ago, which deeply affected her mental health and made it hard for her to find new work. I started my own business in the home remodeling industry, but as a new venture, work has been slow and I haven’t built up a big following yet. In addition to all that, my mother 4 months ago went through a terrible flood and we had to stop everything to help her in her time of crisis. Which we are still currently assisting her but by doing so we put our own lives on the back burner and fell behind. 80% of her home was damaged and she lost basically everything that was worth anything to her. We’ve tried everything we can to stay afloat, but we’ve fallen behind and are now at risk of losing our home in just ten days. We’ve reached out to the family we have left, but haven’t received the help we hoped for. We also tried seeking assistance from the state and county, but were told we didn’t qualify unless we were struggling with substance abuse. About a year and a half ago, I was injured at work and have been dealing with a workman’s comp case that’s been dragging on, making it even harder for me to work and support my family. We have been looking for work every where, putting applications in daily. My wife recently found a new job and is waiting to start training, and I have a big job coming up soon, but right now we’re drowning and trying to survive. Our landlord and electric company won’t work with us and hang in there just a bit longer. If we can’t catch up, we’ll be forced to move into my pickup truck with my wife and our two dogs. There have been times where we didn’t eat because we made sure our dogs had food. We help people wherever and whenever we can. We believe you get what you put out into this world. The funds raised will help us catch up, keep our home, ensure the electric stays on, and make sure our dogs are fed. We’re a nice young couple who don’t party, drink, or do drugs—we’re just stuck in a tough spot and trying to not be on the streets! We know there are good people out there who love to help others, and we’re hoping for support as our last resort. Any help you can give whether it’s $1 or whatever it may be, would mean the world to us and help us get through this challenging time. Thank you.
