What Tiny cares about

“Healing begins with housing.” Transitional homes create pathways for people to stabilize their lives and move toward permanent housing.

Social advocacy
My name is Ryan, and I’m the founder of Tiny Tiny Homes. This project is personal to me. When I was a youth exiting the foster care system, I experienced homelessness. I know what it feels like to have nowhere to go, no stability, and no clear path forward. It’s overwhelming, and for many young people, it leads to a cycle that’s hard to break. That’s why we’re building this. In Chatham, we’re creating transitional housing specifically for youth who are aging out of foster care and at risk of homelessness. Right now, there’s a major gap — shelters are not designed for young people, and too many fall through the cracks. Our goal is simple: give youth a safe, private place to live while they get back on their feet. Each unit will provide: A secure, private space Stability and dignity Access to support and community A stepping stone to permanent housing This isn’t just about a roof — it’s about creating a real chance at a better future. We’ve already made real progress. We have secured the property and working with partners to bring this vision to life. Now we need your help to make it happen. Your support will go directly toward building these homes and creating a space where young people can feel safe, supported, and hopeful again. I’ve lived this. I know how much one stable place can change everything. Help us give that chance to someone else. So far with the help of United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent and Women 5 for 5 Chatham-Kent we have been able to acquire the property and we have enough funds to get us to the building permit stage. We still have to raise all the capital funding for this project so we are counting on your support

My name is Ryan, and I know firsthand what homelessness feels like. I know what it’s like to feel unsafe, uncertain, and overlooked. Those experiences stayed with me and became the reason I founded Tiny Tiny Homes. Right now, we are living through an existential housing crisis. Every night, more people are being forced to sleep outside in tents, parks, doorways, and on sidewalks. Nobody should have to live like that. No human being should be left outside without safety, privacy, or dignity. Tiny Tiny Homes was created because we believe there are innovative and realistic solutions to this crisis. We build small transitional housing communities that help move people from homelessness into stability and eventually permanent housing. A tiny home is more than four walls and a roof — it is a safe place to sleep, lock your door, take a breath, and begin rebuilding your life. We believe housing must come first. When people have safety and dignity, they can begin focusing on recovery, employment, mental health, education, and reconnecting with society. Your support will help us build more homes, expand our programs, and give people a real chance to transition off the streets. Together, we can prove that compassion, innovation, and community can change lives. Nobody belongs on the sidewalk. Everybody deserves dignity.
