My name is Barbara, and for the past eight years, my family and I have been working hard to buy our home. We’ve poured our hearts and savings into this place, making it a safe haven for my parents, my children, and myself. Last year, the original homeowner passed away, and her son took over the property. We continued making our payments to him, trusting that everything was being handled properly. Just this past Friday, we received devastating news. We found out that the payments we made were never sent to the bank—instead, they were pocketed by the homeowner’s son. Now, we’re being told that unless we can come up with a large sum immediately, we’ll lose our home and have to move out within a week. This is after we’ve already paid so much for this place. I care for my parents and have a family of six relying on me. The thought of losing our home and having nowhere to go is overwhelming. The money we raise will go straight to the bank to help us keep our home and provide stability for everyone I care for. It would be greatly appreciated for any help we can get.
