Kenneth Ferow

My name is Kenneth, and I am a father to two amazing boys, ages 7 and 13. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. The tumor is 9cm and located on the muscle, which means I will need a colostomy bag for the rest of my life. As the main provider for my family, this diagnosis has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our home. Right now, I am waiting for SSI approval, but I have no idea how long that process will take. In the meantime, I am doing everything I can to keep a roof over our heads and provide for my boys and spouse of 21 years. My wife unfortunately was fired from her 16 year job, 6 days before Christmas of last year. Also denied unemployment for a reason that we dont agree with. The end of last year hit very hard for our family, but we are still hanging on tight. The support from this fundraiser will help us cover rent, car payments, medication, medical bills, food, and all the everyday things we need to survive. Every bit of help makes a real difference for my family during this difficult time. Words can't explain how thankful I am for the help and kindness of others.
