Hi, my name is Jon’te Aycox, and I’m from Las Vegas, NV. I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d need to ask for help, but I’m currently facing a very difficult situation. I prayed on it. Decided that this is what I have to do unfortunately while looking for jobs. Rent is due by July 5. That's my main focused is trying to get that, if nothing else. I lost my job months and months ago and have been actively searching for work. During this time, I relied on my unemployment benefits, savings, and even my IRA to stay afloat. Unfortunately, those resources have now been completely exhausted. Because I’ve already used my unemployment benefits, I cannot reapply until September 27th when my eligibility cycle resets. In the meantime, I’ve been applying for jobs every day, but I haven’t secured one yet. Without current employment, I’m also unable to qualify for a loan to cover my rent. Right now, I am at serious risk of losing my apartment. My rent is due soon, and the stress of potentially becoming homeless is overwhelming. What I Need I am hoping to raise: - $1,100 to cover my July rent ($805) and essential bills, groceries. - $3,864 total to help me stay stable from July through September while I continue my job search. If I am able to secure a job sooner, I will immediately update this campaign and take it down if no longer needed. How the Funds Will Be Used Every dollar raised will go directly toward: - Rent - Utilities and basic living expenses, and food. - Keeping a safe roof over my head while I continue applying for jobs. This has been one of the hardest moments of my life, but I’m staying hopeful and continuing to push forward.
