I am creating this GoFundMe from the United States on behalf of my sister, Sasha, also known as Gin, who is in Jamaica. In an instant, everything she had worked so hard for was destroyed. Hurricane Melissa, a powerful Category 5 storm, tore through Jamaica, leaving her and her young son with almost nothing. Their home was severely damaged, the roof completely gone, and they have been struggling without clean water, electricity, or even a dry place to stay when it rains. The storm also left fallen trees and broken power lines across the area, making it even harder for them to access help and essential supplies. The video below shows Sasha’s neighborhood once full of life, now scattered with debris and heartbreak. Sasha is a midwife who has always put others first. She has dedicated her life to helping mothers bring new life into the world and caring for families in their most vulnerable moments. Even while facing her own loss, she has been doing everything she can to care for others. But now, she needs our help. Her car was badly damaged in the storm, making it nearly impossible for her to get to work or find the supplies she and her son need to survive and rebuild. Here is the link to what her home currently looks like after the storm. See the Damage: Sasha’s House After the Hurricane I am her sister, Amelia Dunn, and I am asking from the bottom of my heart for your support. Please help Sasha and her little boy get back on their feet, repair their home, replace essentials, and regain some stability after this devastating disaster. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring them one step closer to recovery. And if you cannot donate, sharing their story means the world. Thank you for showing compassion and standing with Sasha and her son during this heartbreaking time. With love and gratitude, Amelia Dunn
