A dear friend of mine is a devoted mother to three special needs children. Right now, they are facing an incredibly difficult situation—living in an environment that is unsafe and emotionally abusive. Every day, this mom does everything she can to protect her children, but the challenges are overwhelming, and they desperately need a safe place to call home. The spouse threats the kids mother with taking away the income he gives her, taking away the only running vehicle and threats to kick her and the children out of their home. The abusive spouse is a schizophrenic with major mental issues.  This mom faces daily struggles with low income and providing for her family. She lives on little sleep due to her nonverbal son’s major sleep issues, often getting only five hours of rest each day. Her son, who has level 3 autism and a major eating disorder, also lacks the motor skills to eat and drink normally. Mom is up every two hours making bottles to ensure he gets the nutrition he needs. Her two other children also have autism and learning challenges, and they too have difficulty sleeping. Despite these hardships, she tries her best every day to be her children’s hero. This family is unique and beautiful. They find joy in playing board games, doing crafts, making music, and watching funny shows together. Their pets are a great source of comfort, especially for the children with autism, helping them regulate their feelings and emotions in times of need. With your support, we can help this family escape their current situation and start fresh in a secure, loving environment. The funds raised will go directly toward covering mortgage or rent costs, moving expenses, and food. Every dollar will help ensure these children have the stability and care they deserve, and their mom can focus on giving them the best possible future.
