My name is Jim, and I’m reaching out because I’ve been through a really tough stretch and need some help to get back on my feet. Last year, I faced a series of health challenges that turned my life upside down. Between May and October, I was out of work for three months due to serious infections in my foot, which led to two toe amputations over the summer. I was determined to get back to normal, and after finally returning to work, I was let go after just one week.

 Not wanting to give up, I started driving for Uber to make ends meet. On Thanksgiving weekend, while out driving during a snowstorm, my car got stuck. As I was digging myself out, I lost a shoe in the snow. Because I have neuropathy and poor circulation in my feet, I didn’t realize it right away. Unfortunately, I developed frostbite and, despite my efforts to heal, I ended up losing another toe.

 Right now, I’m doing my best to recover and keep moving forward, but I need help covering my living expenses in the short term. I am grateful for any support you can offer—every bit truly makes a difference. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can give.
