Brett's passion for music and his unwavering friendship have left an indelible mark on everyone who knows him. He's a truly selfless man, and now he needs our help more than ever.

<div>Despite being a non-smoker, Brett has developed Interstitial Lung Disease of unknown origin. His condition is declining rapidly, and his only chance of survival is a lung transplant. Unfortunately, a growing number of complications, including a blood disorder, is slowing the process of finding a donor and receiving the transplant.

<div>The financial cost of this life-saving procedure is insurmountable. The lung transplant alone is expected to cost well over $2 million. On top of that, the daily hospital expenses are enormous, including the cost of an ECMO machine, which is over $12,000 daily. Brett and his family are facing an overwhelming financial burden, and they need our support.

<div>Hello my name Jennifer Cantu( tia) of gordo and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read about my families horrific story. My family and I are living through one of the most tragic episodes of our lives.

<div>On Saturday 9/23/23 my nephew Guillermo E. (Gordo/Doorbell) Gama III was involved in a fatal train wreck that stole the lives of an entire family. The deceased victims were Gordo’s  girlfriend, parents, 2 siblings and a friend of one of the siblings.
</div>
<div>Gordo is only 23 years old with a passion for life and family. He is currently in Critical Condition at Lakeland Regional Hospital fighting for his life.
</div>
<div>Our family has gathered together at his side to pray for him and support each other. Our family is grateful for all the calls, messages and prayers received.

He originally began working at this job as a single father when he gained custody of me and my older sister 27 years ago. Then as our family grew and he remarried, he continued to work there because of the amazing health insurance that was provided through this employer because it was unionized. Fatal wreck crushes Wilder family... Help needed!

<div>When God takes an amazing mother, daughter, friend to soon it will take a village to raise their kids. Christina Shubert is now resting in heaven with God while her two beautiful amazing kids, Demi (7 years old) and Dax (3 years old) are left behind to grow and learn about Gods plan. We all pray to understand this but the kids are to young and miss their beautiful mother every minute of everyday. I would not be doing my part if I didn't find a way for us as a village to help these 2 amazing children be raised by their amazing gammo (this is what the babies call her). Jennifer D. Shubert laid to rest her 29 year old baby Christina who lost her battle with Leukemia. With her immune system fully compromised from the chemo therapy she couldn't fight off infections. Now Jennifer has and is raising  Demi and Dax. We as a village need to be that support system to donate as much as we can for Demi and Dax so their gammo (Jennifer) can continue to raise them the best way a grandmother with love can. Let's go above and beyond the goal to raise and let's make sure Demi and Dax live the best lives they can. Jennifer will be directly handling all funds making sure they are used for the Demi and Dax.

Maxine Wright passed away on January 30, 2021. We are absolutely devastated by her passing and are struggling to find the funds to honor her legacy and give her the farewell that she deserves. <br /><br />We need to raise the funds by February 9th toward the expenses for the casket, funeral and headstone. Your gift, if you can, will mean we can say goodbye to a wonderful woman.<br /><br />Maxine will be remembered as a mother, grandmother, a nurturing soul and for "throwing down in the kitchen." Walking into her house you were greeted with the smell of collard greens and biscuits made from scratch. Walking into her house you knew you were home. <br /><br />Maxine dedicated her life to her family and friends, and now we can come together to give in her honor. Since 1957, Florida YMCA Youth In Government has served thousands of students, providing them the opportunity to participate in our model government process and learn what it means to become a servant leader in their community.<br /><br />This year, we're taking our show on the road, and beyond the Capitol. On August 1st, a select group of our students will join us for our brand new Y-Corps program, traveling across the state, learning more about active service, and the different facets of Florida that make it truly unique.<br /><br />Before traveling the state, our Y-Corps members will begin serving our state and their peers by raising money for our scholarship fund. Florida YMCA YIG Scholarship Fund

The state of Florida is no stranger to accidents like drownings and near drownings in our pools, lakes, oceans, and the many other types of water that covers our great state. Polk County is no exception to this. Just in the last few weeks there has been 2 drownings and one near drowning in our county. Witnessing these events first hand has inspired a passsion in me to somehow stop or at least drastically decrease the number of these tragic accidents. All throughout the bible you can see how precious Children are to God and how he wants us to love them and care for them. <br /><br />This is where my idea comes in. As many people know, besides helping people I really love endurance sports like running, cycling, and swimming. I have really been praying that everything I do would point to and glorify God. During one of my recent long runs he gave me the idea to challenge myself and to challenge others. After debating back and forth whether or not this was the right thing to do it was then confirmed through scripture in 1 Pete 4:10. It says "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." So here is the challenge for myself and for you. During the month of June I am going to run at least 90 miles. That is about 30 more miles in a month than I have been. This equates to 3 miles every day. My challenge to you is that you would donate money. It can be however much you want. You could donate a certain amount or do something like $.50 or $1.00 for every mile that I run. <br /><br />What is the money for you ask? There is a new foundation that I will be helping with called Abby Grace's Hope. It is run by a local family who had a near drowning happen to them around a year ago. They share the same heart to make sure these accidents become something of the past and that if they do happen the families will have plenty of support.
