<div>On April 25, Claudia was involved in a serious car accident that left her with significant physical and neurological injuries. Since the accident, she has been focused entirely on healing and following her medical team’s recommendations for recovery.

<div>For the last three years Sidney was on a mission to tour around the country meeting all 50 governors and raising awareness for our veterans. He had just completed his 40th state, meeting with with Governor Kevin Stitt of the great state of Oklahoma. Sidney inspired tens of thousands of people of all ages throughout his No Regrets Tour. He appeared on hundreds of news shows sharing his mission, participating in the Coin Toss at the 2020 Super Bowl, and even being honored by Fox News with a Patriot Award presented to him by John Rich. <div>Sidney was born Feb. 11th, 1919, in New York City. In March 1941, eager to fight the Nazis, he enlisted in the Army, eight months before Pearl Harbor.

<div>Sidney served in the lesser known third theater of combat, CBI (China-Burma-India) as a corporal and medical technician in the 34th Infantry, 8th Division, until the war's end.

<div>Sidney always regretted missing a chance to meet Civil War veterans during the 1939 World's Fair in New York. To make up for this regret, in 2018 he set off with his son Paul on a "No Regrets Tour" to give Americans a last chance to meet a World War II vet before they're all gone.

On October 22nd, 2020, after a short battle with cancer, our dearest Aleksandra Bilas went home to be with our Heavenly Father. <br /><br />Her family remains faithful and through their grief, they press on to ensure Aleksandra receives a proper memorial, and burial during these already challenging times. Many of you who know the Bilas family,  have already reached out offering condolences, asking how to further help and support them. <br /><br />A memorial fundraiser bridges the gap between those who are grieving and those who want to help. <p>Recently, Allen spoke out in a tearful interview voicing his frustrations with the shutdown and lack of government aid. Allen had to let go all of his long time employees this past week, a devastating decision that was difficult to make.
</p>

<p>Since the video interview debuted, the support shown to Allen and his business from all over the country has been overwhelming, and Allen and his family can’t be thankful enough. 
</p>

This is Dennis Nicomede. He has just been diagnosed with stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. He will come home today on hospice. His other neighbors and I are raising money to help with medical bills and lost income. Any amount helps he and his wife Jeanne.<br />Thanks in advance for your help!

"Charlie" as our neighborhood has come to call him,  really needs your help! 

His report from the vet came back today and was worse than we thought.. 

He has a badly dislocated shoulder, dehydrated, anemic and blood panel shows an infection. 

If it can't get any worse, the xrays revealed a BB lodged into his side from being shot by a heartless human!

The bill so far is just over $1000 and that's before the surgery. We are currently looking for a second opinion but will still need more money to cover the additional expenses. First quote for the surgery was $4000. 

Backstory: 
"Charlie" is a neighborhood cat who may have been left by its previous owners. He was spotted limping badly around my house looking lethargic and dehydrated in 105° weather. After posting on the Neighborhood App for assistance, I received a flood  of messages and posts asking to help, over 200 to be exact. Fellow neighbors had been trying to catch him for  2 days. Sunday,  Theresa Weber and myself were able to trap him in the underside of my spa.  Thankfully, Theresa is a professional dog trainer and happened to have a van and kennel ready to take "Charlie" to get the much needed medical attention he deserves. 

Fortunately,  Charlie was placed into the path of neighbors who share the same care  and compassion for animals of all kinds. It has been inspiring to see the amount of support thus far.

He certainly has a long road ahead of him and will soon need a loving, caring household, free of stress, and a comfy safe place to sleep. 

The immediate concern for Charlie, is getting his shoulder surgery done to alleviate the tremendous amount of pain and discomfort he must be feeling.

It is with heavy hearts that we share that on September 17th,  Veronica Contreras passed away. We are left without words to know that her life was cut so short. She will always be remembered as a beautiful, kind, and compassionate soul. She had a contagious smile that lifted everyone's spirit and she will be missed by her friends, coworkers, and family. It's hard to come to terms that she isn't here with us anymore but her memory lives through us and the experiences we all shared.<br /><br />The proceeds will be donated to Veronica's family to help with the unexpected funeral costs. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.<br /><br /><br />A HUGE thank you to everyone that has donated, it shows how many people cared for Veronica and how big of an impact she was on our lives. Hello, my name is Brock Sabo, longtime friend of the Chester family.  I grew up in the Bothell/Woodinville area, and went to school with Joshua, the middle son of this family of 3 boys.  Throughout the years, we shared many memories, good and bad.  From sports, to friends, to choices we made,  but in the end always stood by one another.<br /><br />  Joshua fought the disease of alcoholism, and most of us had no idea.  He was a great guy, always happy, and would never show anyone this sort of weekness that eventually took his life.  I am not trying to bring up any touchy subjects, but this rings in my ears, for I too suffered from addiction, and have been clean and sober for 5 years now. <br /><br />Josh left a son, James, and that is why I am here.   James is a very bright, athletic, handsome young man, just like his dad.  He is 12 years old, and attends Canyon Park Jr High.  James just made the JV Squad for basketball, and I remember him telling his dad, and Josh was so proud.  Unfortunatley with the sudden end to Josh's life, he had no chance to set James up for the future.  This is where we all come in to play!  Not only are we raising money to help <a href="http://www.hopesoldiers.com">www.hopesoldiers.com</a> continue the fight of addiction, we are raising money to put in a trust fund for James, so he can have the future Josh would want for his son.  All donations will be contributed to Hope Soldiers, then in turn Hope Soldiers will help set up a trust for James with 50% of the funds going into that account!  <br /><br />Being a recovering addict myself, it means so much that there are organizations like Hope Soldiers, who would do anything to stop the suffering of people.  I think the awareness this charity brings is absolutly incredible.  Please help those people who suffer, I'm sure we all know someone.  And please help James, for he deserves a future beyond his dreams.<br /><br />Thank you, <br /><br />Brock Sabo
