Rowan Barnett is a 28-year-old from Wichita, Kansas, who has always had a passion for animals, aviation, and gaming. Recently, Rowan’s life changed dramatically when he suffered a pulmonary embolism and underwent open heart surgery for a pulmonary valve replacement. Since then, he has faced a series of serious health challenges, including sepsis, pneumonia, and multiple blood clots in his lungs. Rowan is currently in the hospital for the third time, fighting to clear a persistent infection that has not responded to weeks of IV antibiotics. His medical team is working tirelessly, using high doses of antibiotics and hoping his body can absorb the clots and fluid as the infection clears. Despite these efforts, his lungs continue to develop new complications, making his recovery even more difficult.

 Rowan’s heart is healing well after surgery, but the ongoing issues with his lungs have left him unable to work and in need of constant care. He is uninsured and disabled, with Medicaid and SSI applications still pending. While he has been approved for some financial assistance for his hospital stay, Rowan still faces significant uncovered medical expenses, as well as daily living costs like rent, utilities, food, and urgent car repairs. The stress of these mounting expenses, combined with the uncertainty of his health, has been overwhelming for Rowan and his family. Any support will help ease the financial burden and allow Rowan to focus on his recovery, giving him hope for a healthier future.
