I am a partial owner of a beautiful piece of farmland that has been a vital part of my life and my community. For years, I have used portions of this land for hay and pasture, providing quality beef for my family and neighbors. The farm is not just a source of food—it's a sanctuary for wildlife, including herds of deer, wild turkeys, turtles, and countless other creatures that depend on this land for survival. Recently, the other owners of the property have considered selling the farm. This has put me in a difficult position, as I want to purchase the property to continue my stewardship and ensure its preservation for future generations. If I am unable to buy the farm, I will lose access to the pasture and hayground that are essential for feeding my cattle. This would force me to downsize my herd and threaten the local supply of farm-raised beef that so many in our community rely on. Owning this farm would allow me to continue protecting the land, controlling hunting and the destruction of wildlife, and maintaining a sustainable environment for both animals and people.
