My name is Cameron, and I never thought I’d be in this position. Last Friday, I was in a car wreck that left me injured and unable to work for at least six months. The timing couldn’t be worse—my partner and I just welcomed our baby into the world three weeks ago, and she hasn’t been cleared to return to work yet either. We’re both doing everything we can, but right now, we’re falling behind on rent and utilities, and my car is stuck in a tow yard. Without insurance, getting the medical care I need is another huge challenge, and I was supposed to start a new job out of town the Monday after the crash. Now, that opportunity is gone, and I’m at a loss for what to do next.
