For the past nine years, I’ve struggled with dentures that don’t fit right. Every time I talk, eat, or even sneeze, I worry they’ll come out, and sometimes they do. The pain in my gums is constant, and eating has become a daily challenge. Because of this, I’ve developed anxiety and severe depression, and I’ve had to start medication just to cope. I live alone and haven’t felt comfortable going out in public or attending church meetings, which has made these years especially lonely. My state won’t help with dental implants, but I know that getting them would change everything for me. I could finally eat what I want without pain, feel confident enough to go outside, and maybe even meet new people without fear or embarrassment. Dental implants would help me feel whole again and give me the chance to reconnect with my community and live life more fully.
