A girl who always shows up for the people she loves ready to give them her all and then some. A true stunning beauty inside and out. What many people don’t know, or don’t know the extend of, is that over the past several years, B has been fighting an insanely difficult battle with Lyme disease, Babesia and Bartonella. All serious tick-borne illnesses that have severely affected nearly every aspect of her life.

<div>What most people haven’t see are the many doctor’s appointments, treatments, medications, travel, and never ending challenges that have come with chronic Lyme disease for Bianca. Despite her determination to keep pushing forward and fight to get her life back, the physical, emotional, and financial toll has been overwhelming.

<div>During her fight to heal, Bianca has had to pursue specialized treatments, many of which are not offered in the US. This has lead to extensive travel, including trips to Mexico, which is where she currently is for the next few weeks. Many of these treatments are very expensive and not covered by insurance. The costs have quickly added up, creating a huge financial burden for Bianca and her family while they try to focus on her health and recovery.

Following the removal of the chemo, the pick line will remain in her arm, and Lisa will continue with radiation treatments five days a week. In the last week, she will undergo another round of chemotherapy. Despite the difficult side effects, Lisa's spirits remain high, and she maintains a positive outlook as she receives this opportunity for healing.

Raising funds for Avalon’s sister with Covid

<p>Meet Sarah: The most radiant in the room, the bringer of happiness, energy and love. She greets life and everyone in it with open arms and an open heart.
</p>
<p>I'm not sure how cancer picks it's victims, but it seems to pick the best. Our sister, my mother and father-in-law's daughter and a friend to all has been diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. What stage IV means is that she will not get to ring a bell for remission - she will live with cancer treatment, scans, testing, re-treatment and so on for the rest of her life.
</p>
<p>As you can imagine, the treatment cost alone is overwhelming for a sole income person. Sarah has always been a dedicated and hardworking entrepreneur. She is an independent hair salon owner in San Fransisco - the city she loves. This means while she is unable to work due to cancer, chemo and all the hell that comes with it, she will have no income. However, she will still have medical, business and personal bills coming in.

<p>Any financial assistance you can provide will go toward supporting, healing and guiding her beautiful soul through this life-altering journey.

On May 9th my brother and best friend, Ryan Bray, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He has begun chemo therapy at a great hospital in San Francisco. For the next 12+/- months Ryan’s life as a husband, son, brother, friend, food broker, and car enthusiast, will be put on hold. All while the medical bills pile up. There are young adults through programs like Narcotics Anonymous who have been sober/clean for several years, who try to volunteer any extra time they have to sponsor and help these kids. Since this is NOT a paid position, they have jobs, maybe kids, and daily living tasks, this doesn't leave them much time or resources to help. We have programs that continue to give the message "don't do drugs" and "this is why," but where is the program that doesn't isolate them, introduces and guides them to a fun meaningful sober clean life? In Loving Memory of Justin Miles

I am raising money for our local schools by getting into the gym and cleaning up the diet! On May 13, I will be competing in the NorCal Fitness Competition. Although I try to lead a healthy lifestyle, this is a huge goal. I have a few physical roadblocks: back broken 3 times, 5% of each lung removed and knees and shoulders in need of replacing...not to mention I love sweets! I have decided to share my fitness journey and raise funds for my nonprofit organization, Save California Schools. 100% of all money raised will go to kids. I get in shape! Our schools get in shape!

Hi! My name is Sophia Gaemi and I am starting the journey of competing in the Miss California USA's pageant in December 2017. <br /><br />At the end of last year my dad, Nasser, suggested that I apply. My first question was "Do I have to have a talent?", he said "No, thankfully!". After a few months of waiting and an interview I have been offered a spot on the Miss. California USA stage in Long Beach in December! Who would have thought they wanted a monkey on stage ;)<br /><br />To be honest, I don't think of myself as your typical pageant girl. I am in workout clothes 90% of the time and am a self professed gym-junkie. I started as a Athletic Training major at Mesa State in Colorado, and have transitioned to a Kinesiology degree at Diablo Valley College with plans to transfer to San Francisco State in Fall 2017. As a full time student, I am also balancing working part-time at BYOG in Dublin, CA as custom garment customer support &amp; sales. Additionally, I babysitting for several amazing families in Danville which fills up any free time that I'm not spending with my family and friends. I have two younger sisters and a very little fluffy dog.<br /><br />Why am I doing this? I love a new challenge. Something new to push me beyond my comfort zone. It is scary but exciting! I've found when I do something new I learn so much. Usually much more than expect. In 2015 I competed in an NPC (National Physique Committee) competition in the bikini divison. That journey was such a learning experience I am looking forward to experiencing another new process. <br /><br />As I learn more about the Miss USA program and meet prior pageant competitors I have been blown away by the honesty and sincerity of the ladies I have met thus far. They are so down to earth and, well, normal girls, like me! I'm realizing that my idea of a stereo-typical pageant girl is just that, a sterotype. I would be honored to have the opportunity to stand next to the lovely ladies I have met. To represent Danville and compete for the opportunity to represent the amazing state of California.<br /><br />Any amount is appreciated ... big or small. I would be so grateful! The Road to the Miss. CA Stage

As you may know, our friend Scarlet Stever Current was diagnosed with a grade 3 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer tumor in Dec. To fight this fast acting cancer, she is having double mastectomies on Feb 1, followed by about 6 months of aggressive chemotherapy starting mid-march. (It may also require radiation and additional surgeries which will be determined in the coming months.)<br /><br />There are huge costs associated with battling cancer. Even though she has insurance, her maximum out of pocket doesn't apply to pharmacy and may not cover all of her chemo. Initial KNOWN cost estimates for medical treatment alone are approximately $15,000; and doesn’t cover future uncovered medical care, travel expenses, medical supplies, the cost of her or Cory’s time off or other unknowns.<br /><br />She will likely be unable to work this events season as she will be undergoing chemotherapy treatments.  She is unable to collect short term disability, adding the tremendous concern of lost wages onto her already scary fight ahead. Scarlet is scrappy and an optimistic survivor. She is 43 years old and is in good spirits, but this is going to be an extremely difficult year for our friend. Scarlet's Supah Support Fund!

As a mother...If your child came to you and informed you they were suffering from what could be considered a potentially fatal illness, how would you feel?<br />If your child came to you and told you they honestly didn't want to live anymore, what what would you say to them? If your child came to you and asked for your help, what would you do for them?<br /><br />As a mother...I, unfortunately, have been faced with not one, but all 3 of these scenarios in the last 30 days. And it is truly a mothers worst nightmare. <br /><br />My son was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, OCD and ADHD at the age of 7. He was prescribed Clonodine and Nortriptoline. <br /><br />He was doing college level algebra in Jr. High - He attended Clarkson University where he studied mechanical engineering - When he was 20 he took himself off his medication and joined the Army National Guard. He not only made it through bootcamp, he graduated as "Soldier of the cycle". He went onto do is AIT training in geospatial engineering - Where he graduated top of his class.<br /><br />Then he got deployed to Kuwait...For 18 months.<br /><br />My son has battled mental health issues which ultimately led to self medicating, which resulted in drug addiction. Ending with a sense of worthlessness, homelessness, anxiety and depression.<br /><br />Because my sons "illness" is not considered a legitimate "disease" per se' in our society - treatment is costly and not guarenteed. Ironically enough, neither is chemotherapy or radiation - but you still take that chance, dont you?<br /><br />2 weeks ago I put my 26 year old son on a plane with a one way ticket to Florida, $23 cash in his pocket, a pack of cigarettes and a promise that I would do EVERYTHING in my power to fight this fight with him. He has no insurance and the VA is unable to assist with the treatment he needs. He was graciously offered a scholarship for a portion of his treatment at Amethyst Recovery Center, which is a dual diagnosis treatment facility - The balance was $8,000 before aftercare expenses.<br /><br />I want my son to live. I want him to get the help he wants. I want him to get the proper mental health diagnosis he deserves. I want my son back. And long term aftercare is what he needs to be successful in his recovery. Please help me in my fight for Shane.<br /><br />I understand mental health and drug addiction are very sensitive and uncomfortable topics to discuss and are frequently unfairly judged by many.<br /><br />Today I am sharing without shame, to save my son.<br /><br />As a mother...
