<div>My name is David Giulietti and Larry Robinson has been a great friend to me since the first time I drove out to meet him at his house 25 years ago in Sonoma county California. A lot of you know Larry and what a warm, brilliant, funny, generous human being he is. He is also an extremely talented artist  and innovator working in shell inlay.

<div>Recently Larry had hole open up in his heart which required open-heart surgery. This required a lengthy stay in the hospital while the doctors waited for the scar tissue to form on the edges of the flesh between the chambers of his heart. The scar tissue makes the delicate flesh of the heart walls strong enough to stitch back together. Luckily he made it through the surgery and is back home healing.

<div>Like a lot of us who make a living with our hands Larry relies on moving jobs out the door to pay his bills. Right now he could really use some help paying his expenses so he can focus on getting strong again. He is recovering but it is a slow process getting back to being a working inlay artist.

<div>We continue to mourn Tommy's departure from this world. At the end of his life, Tommy was so lucky to have the aid of Isabella, who was incredible in her care of him. In his final days, Isabella was a shining light who stayed by him tirelessly and made sure that he passed on in as much comfort and with as much dignity as was possible.

Support Search Efforts to help find Nash Quinn

<div>Our very dear friend, Carol, suffered two terrible tragedies last month. On August 17th, in the middle of the night, she began experiencing an excruciating headache and was rushed to the ER. An initial CT scan revealed a bleed in her brain. She was transferred to the Neurocritical Care Unit at Providence St. Vincent Hospital where she spent nearly two weeks in the NCCU. After multiple angiograms and CT scans, it was determined that she had suffered a life threatening subarachnoid hemorrhage, a bleed in the space between the brain and the tissue covering the brain. She is recovering at home now, but is not yet able to return to work.

<div>Just one week after she was released from the hospital, her studio was broken into. Carol’s safe containing all her raw materials- gold, silver, gemstones- was stolen. Carol is an independent artist who makes one of a kind jewelry. This is Carol’s livelihood. Many of these gemstones were rare, hand selected, hand cut stones; some with immense sentimental and monetary value. Replacing these materials will cost tens of thousands of dollars.

<div>Carol makes her living selling her work at fine art shows around the country.

<div>She missed two important shows while she was in the hospital, which was a huge financial setback. As an independent artist and small business owner, this is an immense blow to Carol, at an extremely vulnerable time on her road to recovery after suffering a major health event. To suffer a brain hemorrhage is enough for one lifetime. To compound that with being robbed of the materials needed to make her living, is almost too much to bear. Her will is strong, and her attitude is positive. She is determined - “I will persevere” was uttered just a day after the discovery of the break in.

<div>Carol is a loving, generous and compassionate person, and she could use support right now. She is expected to make a full recovery, but we are unsure when she will be back in her studio to create her incredible jewelry. <div>Greg and Sirena have spent countless hours donating homemade food and handmade crafts to local fairs and businesses. Eventually saving up to open an office together where Greg creates his games and Sirena makes her handmade crafts, which was also unfortunately lost to the wildfire.

<div>For most art show artists this could be a game ending situation. The monetary loss, the toll it takes on you mentally; not to mention having to completely recreate an entire body of work, just to get back out on the road.

<div>Hannah is a very talented jewelry artist, a great friend, and one of the kindest most understanding people i have ever met. This woman is made of all the good stuff you could ever dream of. She’s the first to lend an ear, a helping hand, some good and serious advice or even home grown veggies if you need them. She’s truly one of the shiniest start in this art fair world.

Help Build Emergency Homes for Oakland's Unhoused

In April of 2018, <strong>Adia Huss Solomon</strong> our beautiful Unicorn Princess was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately what started as a fairly treatable cancer has now become a <strong>Stage 4 fight for her life</strong>. Adia is an extremely strong, vibrant, caring, and positive woman! For those of us who know and love her, she is the woman who thinks of others first and gives what she can to help them.  Even while fighting cancer herself she still managed to fundraise and walk in the CIBC Run for the Cure! From her extensive charity work to her time volunteering with the Oshawa Legionnaires Elite Baseball Team to the U20 PanAm team. All of which at a financial loss to herself to help others. <strong>It’s time for us to give back! </strong>Adia is a self-employed massage therapist with no benefit package and has struggled to work and maintain her medical therapies. Adia’s battle and treatment will not allow her to continue working. Let’s help make the financial burden on Adia as minimal as we can. Adia’s Fierce Fight Against Cancer

It seems like this has been a hard season for a lot of the folks I know. From the near loss of limb to the full loss of livelihood, 2019 is one for the books.<br />Kim Eubank and Jonah Green were holding it all together on duct tape and credit, gearing up for a big summer, packed with shows, travel and brand new work. They were literally gassing up last night, when it all went down. Jonah glanced up from the counter in time to see the bastards pull away in their brand new van, packed to the brim and ready for the first art festival of the season. Their entire body of artwork, their camera,  their new display they had just built,  their camping gear and generator just rolled down the street.  <br />The police were called and reports were filed, but they aren’t holding their breath for a miracle. They have some insurance that will  cover the cost of supplies and the vehicle, but there is a $2000 deductible.  <br />Ambitiously, It will take between 6 months and a year to build a new body of work. Jonah and Kim make 80% of their income during the summer months and now they have nothing.  <br />They need money to rebuild their display, purchase a new vehicle, make a new body of art, and pay off the $2000 deductible; this all so they can get back on the road and just begin paying their bills.   <br />Jonah and Kim are good people. They work hard. They are members of our tribe.  Sometimes the wheels fall off and you need help. Sometimes the wheels you’ve worked hard for all your life roll down the street without you while you are powerless to do anything but watch and cry or chase and curse. <br />If you can spare anything to help, please do. Local RVA Artist's Van and Livelihood Stolen

First, let me say that I am so grateful that my family and friends are safe. Nothing is more important. But this business is our family's main income, and we are devastated by this loss. I opened my store just 9 months ago, on a shoe string, and now it’s decimated. The day after the high water mark, I found out that our insurance will not cover any of our losses.<br /><br />I am an extremely hardworking and resourceful person, and I will re-open. It will take time, and I need help. I design and handcraft original products in wool felt and leather. My entire inventory, machines and fixtures were completely destroyed as the floodwaters rose in Sebastopol. As my fellow makers know, it will take me a long time to handcraft enough product to restock my store. I can’t just order more goods. The store must be dried and cleaned. The interior must be repaired and rebuilt. <br /><br />Life doesn’t stop when disasters hit. Bills come due and rents need to be paid, even when your income stops. Artist Garage Donation

It was two years ago when Greg 'Geronimo' Phillips took a motorcycle ride on a nice Labor Day Weekend. As he approached an intersection, a mini van stopped and the driver looked directly at him (or through him) so Greg thought she would stop. Unfortunately he was wrong. The minivan was instantly in front of him, he T-boned it, and his left foot got crushed between the 600 lbs of Harley Davidson, the minivan, and the road.<br /><br />And so began his journey, one filled with surgeries, mersa infections, screws added and removed, months of endless physical therapy, and no shortage of relentless pain. Still not a break. It was determined that the damage was so severe and despite all of his hard work, in order for him to have any kind of life of mobility, he would need to have his foot amputated.<br /><br />Now starts the next chapter. He has to part with his beloved Mustang because he can no longer drive a standard shift, and he needs a vehicle better equipped for northeast winters. Greg had his surgery on September 25th and he has about six weeks of healing before the process of getting a prosthetic can begin. His bills are growing daily, and, quite honestly, he needs financial help. Even if it's enough to keep the lights on, and keep the supply of dark roast coffee coming, that's fine, but we have a vision of getting him enough support to get another vehicle and to get his life back.<br /><br />Thank you for any and all gifts.
