Hi, my name is Bridget N. Growing up in Uganda, managing menstruation during school was difficult for me and many girls around me. Access to safe menstrual products was limited, and this often forced us to miss school, feel ashamed, and struggle through the day in discomfort. After coming to Germany, friends introduced me to reusable menstruation panties and menstrual cups. I haven’t tried the cup yet, but I believe in it because it is environmentally friendly and can be used long-term. What I have tried — and truly love — are the period panties. They are comfortable, washable, reusable, and they last for years. They completely changed the way I experience my period. That’s when I realized: Ugandan girls need this even more. In Uganda, many families cannot afford disposable pads every month. Some girls are forced to use old clothes or unsafe materials, making school uncomfortable and sometimes impossible during their periods. This affects their education, health, and confidence. A pack of three period panties costs at least €16, and the price varies depending on the size needed (XS, S, or L). These reusable products can last for years, making them a sustainable and dignified solution for girls who otherwise have very limited options. I am starting with a fundraising goal of €500, which will provide reusable menstruation packs for about 30 girls in Uganda. If the fundraising goes well, I will increase the number of girls we support. I will personally travel to Uganda and distribute the products directly. Supporters will receive updates, photos, and reports showing exactly how their donations are making a difference. Every donation — no matter the size — helps a girl continue her education with confidence and pride. Thank you for standing with Ugandan girls. — Bridget
