On 3 February 2026, our family lost Andre Peter Plehanoff — a beloved son, brother, father, and friend.
His passing has shattered our hearts in ways words can barely explain.
Andre leaves behind his beautiful son, who has lost his dad far too soon, and our mum, who has lost her child — a pain no parent should ever have to carry. As siblings, our only focus right now is protecting them, holding them up, and making sure they are surrounded by love rather than worry.
Our mum is grieving deeply and is already facing significant health challenges. The last thing she should be carrying is financial stress, paperwork, or logistics. As a family, we are doing everything we can to shield her from that burden, so she can grieve without fear or pressure.
Andre’s family is spread across several states. In the days following his passing, we have had to urgently travel to be together, to support one another, and to begin the overwhelming task of sorting Andre’s affairs. This has meant last-minute flights, car hire, accommodation, and extended time away from work.
Andre’s brother Mick has taken extended time off work to help manage arrangements and support our mum and Andre’s son. Others have also stepped away from jobs and responsibilities without hesitation — because when family needs you, you show up, no matter the cost.
We are also facing the reality of laying Andre to rest with the dignity and love he deserves — funeral costs, a wake to honour his life, and the many unexpected expenses that come with saying goodbye far too soon.
We created this GoFundMe not because it’s easy to ask, but because right now, our energy needs to be spent caring for our mum, protecting Andre’s son, and standing together as siblings — not worrying about how we are going to afford to do so.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps lift a small part of this weight from our family. Every share means more than you know. Your kindness allows us to focus on what truly matters: love, presence, and honouring Andre’s life.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our family during the darkest chapter we have ever faced.
We will give updates :-)
