I’m a mother reaching out for help for my daughter during one of the hardest times in our lives. My daughter has been diagnosed with a rare immune condition called Chronic Granulomatous Disease, which makes it extremely difficult for her body to fight infections. As her parent, it’s incredibly painful to watch her go through something like this, especially knowing how strong she continues to be every day. She is more than this illness—she’s a bright, loving child with so much life ahead of her. She is now preparing for a bone marrow transplant, which is a critical step toward giving her a chance at a healthier future. Before she can move forward with the transplant, she must undergo egg preservation. The chemotherapy required for her treatment can damage or destroy her eggs, and doctors have strongly recommended this step to help protect her chance of having children in the future. This is a lot for someone so young to face, but it’s an important part of her journey. Out of respect for her privacy, I’m choosing not to share her name or personal details. In addition to her medical challenges, she has also faced bullying, which has taken an emotional toll. My priority is making sure she feels safe, supported, and protected while we help her heal in every way. The financial burden has been overwhelming. The funds raised will help cover fertility preservation procedures, medical treatments and hospital expenses, travel and related costs, and ongoing care and support. As her mother, I would do anything to take this burden off her shoulders. I’m asking for help so I can give her every chance at a healthy and full life.
