My mother suffers from cooking on wood and fire and suffers from sinusitis because of it. We suffer from the scarcity of water and its pollution, the widespread diseases and the famine that increases every day. The price of food has become exorbitant and very high and we are unable to provide it. We have children who cannot bear hunger. <div>In a corner of Gaza's stricken areas, where the sound of the bombing never stops and the smoke never clears, a small family lives in a makeshift tent after losing everything. All that remains of their home is rubble and memories. The mother, who was solely responsible for her four children, struggles day after day amid unbearable conditions. Her husband, trapped outside Gaza due to the war, is unable to return or send aid.

<div>In the tent, the children suffer from cold, hunger, and fear. The eldest, 11, still misses his cat, which they were forced to leave behind. He always says, "If my cat were here, it would reassure me."

<div>His brother, 8, loved soccer, but no longer has a space to play or a safe place to dream.
</div>
<div>The third child, who always expressed his grief through drawing, filled his small pages with images of war, his mother's tired face, and their missing cat.
</div>
<div>As for the infant, she has known nothing but pain.  Her health is deteriorating, she suffers from cold and malnutrition, and there is no medicine at hand.

<div>The mother also faces a painful challenge: a serious injury to her foot requires urgent surgery, but in light of the collapse of the health system in Gaza, treatment has become a distant dream. She cannot stand easily or care for her children as she would like. Yet she still strives to instill hope in their hearts, repeating, "We will get through this ordeal together."

<div>But the truth is that this family—like thousands of others—will not be able to survive without outside support. What they need today is not just money, but a glimmer of hope, a sense that the world still sees them and feels their suffering.

This fundraiser will mainly be used to provide food and shelter for the family while also providing critical medical care to the youngest child, Ahmed. <strong>Ahmed has been battling a helminthic (parasitic) infection of the liver as well as gastroenteritis</strong> for the last few months and has been in extreme pain.

<div>There was previously a Gofundme campaign for Ahmed, but because of the restrictions in Germany and the Central World Bank in which the funds were withdrawn to, <strong>Ahmed's cousin Faisal was unable to obtain them.</strong> Faisal is one of Ahmed's primary caretakers and has been since the war in Gaza began, and he currently is the main fund-raiser for <strong>their entire family.</strong> There is a shortage of Ahmed's medicine, which means the prices are very high and causes each dose to cost around 250 USD. This is causing a high level of toxins from his parasitic infection to <strong>enter his bloodstream due to the lack of treatment.</strong> This new campaign was created to compensate for the loss of funds from the previous fundraising campaign and the deterioration of Ahmed's condition since the beginning of the war. Any previous campaigns for the Khudair family will be transitioned to this one. This fundraising campaign will be used mainly to provide <strong>food and shelter</strong> for the Khudair family and providing <strong>critical medical care for the youngest child Ahmed.</strong> Ahmed not only will need treatment for his helminthic infection, but <strong>he was recently injured in the recent Israeli air attacks on Khan Yunis and needed stitches in his leg.</strong> In case this wound gets infected, it is necessary to have a medical fund for Ahmed to acquire antibiotics/antiseptic agents for his wound as <strong>his immune system is already compromised from fighting his liver infection. </strong>

<p>Desperate times call for desperate measures. I have never, in my most terrifying nightmares, imagined that I would recourse to asking for help in such a manner. But the situation in Gaza is worse than the most terrifying nightmares. 
</p><br /><br />
<p>I am a Palestinia Ph.d &amp; lawyer who has dedicated his life to defending human rights and seeking justice for victims. I was born and raised in Gaza. I lived-rather-I survived three previous destructive assaults on Gaza in 2008/2009, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2021 and 2022. I have moved to the egypt in 2023 and have been unable to see my family ever since. 
</p><br /><br />
<p>I cannot stand the idea that I might not be able to meet them at all if they do not survive the current genocide. I lived the past 9 month with the hope that I will be able to embrace them one day and tell them how much I love them. I cannot give up on that hope I am starting this GoFundMe to ask fellow humans around the world to help me get my family to safety.

<p>Since October 7th, Israel has killed over 100 of my family, including my great aunt, several cousins and my close friend. Death got as close to my family They were exposed to bombing in Al-Wusta Governorate, which led to the killing of 500 civilians with an explosive barrel, and they saved them from that bombing. Now, all of them are displaced in Rafah including in schools and in tents, struggling to even secure drinkable water and food. It pains me to hear that from my extended family every time I manage to call them, which is usually extremely difficult. I struggle to function properly or even to live knowing that I might lose them at any point in time.

<p>Ya Hala Coordination Company arranges the passage of Gazans to Egypt. However, one must pay 5,000€ per adult (above 16 years old) and 2,500€ per child (under 16 years old) to get out. This is unaffordable for so many, including my family. For them, the cost of a journey to safety through the Egyptian border would reach 100,000€, which will help in paying the expenses of getting my family out of Gaza, including required permits and border crossing fees, and immediate assistance as they navigate their way to safety in Egypt.

Today I will tell you about my family members before the 7th of October and after, and the conditions we have reached, and how much we need to get out of Gaza. We are a family of 8 members, my two parents, Ahmed and Nihad, my older brother Mahmoud, his wife Marah, and his son Ahmed, and then Samah.  Then Walaa, then I (Akram).

<div> My father struggled with his life in order for us to live a dear and dignified life. He worked as a tailor, then a taxi driver, and after that he worked in cars until he was able to rent an apartment and complete our education.  In the past two years, he was able to build two apartments for my eldest brother, Mahmoud, and for me as well. After that, my eldest brother got married, settled in his apartment, and gave birth to a very beautiful little boy. He named him Ahmed, after his father. All that remained for my father was to finish my education, and then I would get a job and prepare for marriage and settle in my apartment that he built for me, but with a second one.  One day all my father's fatigue was gone until his apartment was no longer there.

<div>My mother taught us many things. She was a combative woman who was determined to teach us all to become a productive and wonderful family. My mother taught us all. She would do everything to make us successful children. She would teach us and take us to private centers so that we would not feel any need or lack. She even  She used to sell local food products, such as ice cream, to support my father with our expenses and education. She had the ability to cook all the most delicious foods, and she wished to open her own project to provide the most delicious foods and all that she had learned and would learn. Thank you, mother.

They had a car and a very nice apartment, but all of that disappeared in one second as well.

She loved life when the seventh of October began and the war began. We spent more than  6 months of fatigue and lack of sleep, and prices in the markets began to rise a lot, so I decided to allow family assistance and make a gofundme link to collect money so that we can leave Gaza and continue my education (Akram). I decided, through this article, to help my sister a little by publishing and sharing the link because I hope it will reach  These are my words to a large group of people who have the pure soul to understand our difficult psychological issues and problems.

She applied for many jobs at the end of the year after her graduation, but the war came before it went.  She sees her professional life go before her eyes.

<div>I have spent my entire life studying and with my family, and recently I started my first year at university, Al-Azhar University - Gaza. I was tired and struggled in order to obtain the highest grades among the students of my class, and I got what I wanted. I got in the class.  The first semester I got a very good grade, then the second semester I got an excellent grade. I did many academic workshops at the university, but I wanted more. I aspired to be a teaching assistant at the university, then take a master’s degree to become a doctor at my university, and I wanted to settle down like anyone else in this world. I had an apartment thanks to my father.  He worked hard his whole life, and then I was planning to finish my studies at the university and become a wonderful doctor that the students would love, and then I could earn some money and work my own project and settle down in this life and have a family, but everything in the same second also made my dreams evaporate and I was not able to even complete the academic year at my university.  Nor can I become a doctor, or be able to settle in my apartment, or even have a family, so with this war I decided to help my sister Samah, who had made a link on the gofundme platform to make these words of mine reach a large number of pure hearts. Therefore, I hope that you will help my family survive this genocide.  Collective and that we can leave Gaza to build a better future and I can complete my education and achieve some of my dreams that I love.
