<div>Hi. My name is Ivana and here’s a picture of my brother, Mirko, with his youngest student - his niece. Mirko is a tennis coach. In fact, ever since he was a kid, he loved tennis; our dad would lug a net everywhere with him so that he and Mirko could unfurl it on any playground and play whenever they felt like it – which was day and night!

<div>Eventually, Mirko became an excellent tennis player and then a coach. He loves teaching his students – be they kids or retirees, beginners or future pros – and they love him in turn! There aren’t enough hours in the day for Mirko to say "yes" to everyone’s requests, because, as one of them said, “My lesson with Mirko is the hour in my week I look forward to the most. Whatever problems I’m dealing with, I always feel better after our lesson.”

He was assaulted two weeks ago in Walnut Creek, resulting in a life-threatening situation, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), lung damage and neurological problems among other things. Mirko's recovery will take months of rehab and care-giving, and it is uncertain when he can return to work. Mirko's primary family support lives abroad. Brandi Day, our friend and colleague at Jason Will Real Estate in Fairhope, AL  is used to being the caretaker, the nurturer, the glue that holds everyone around her together. Her strength and determination is obvious to everyone she knows.  Just a few weeks before Christmas, Brandi was given the diagnosis we all fear, cancer. The roles have changed a bit and Brandi now needs the strength and support of those around her. (Needless to say, she is not too happy about that!) Brandi's form of cancer is Papillary Carcinoma and it has metastasized to her lymph nodes.  Surgery to remove the cancer is scheduled for just a few days after Christmas. This is a complicated surgery and will require a month or more of recuperation time. The outcome of the surgery will also dictate the next course of treatment...there is a-lot of uncertainty at this early stage.  This former Marine Corps spouse knows how to overcome challenges, but she also know she cannot do it alone.  At this difficult time, Brandi and her three children ages 10, 8 and 2 need the love and support of the community around them. Brandi's treatment is an unexpected financial burden and it is for this reason this Go-Fund-Me was created. All money raised through this effort will go directly to the cost of Brandi's care. On Monday, March 20th my brother-in-law Oliver Stephens was diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH). So far, this cancer, which will be in his blood forever, has presented itself in his Spleen, Digestive Tract and his Bone Marrow, which explains his fast weight loss. At the time of writing, he is hospitalized getting many tests done and also he will be receiving his first round of chemo of which he has to have for 5 days every month for one year.   Ollie is a 41 year old tennis coach specializing in Youth Development. He is having to drastically reduce his workload and also, the medical bills have started to arrive in earnest!  We would truly appreciate your donations to help Ollie and Milena with their medical expenses and to help them while Ollie is not working much.  No donation is too small.  THANK YOU!

Jerome Golmard the former Davis Cup tennis player from France and former no 22 ATP singles has been diagnosed with the Lou Gehrig's disease (ASL) in January 2014. (lire en FranÃ§ais en bas de page) Since the 14th of January the disease has developed rapidly affecting the lower limbs (this is the same disease that Brad Drewett, the former deceased CEO of the ATP contracted). Since the diagnostic (14th of January) Jerome has lost the use of both of his legs. He is now on a wheel chair. The French traditional Medicine world has condemned him. Possible Cause of the disease: Jerome identified the source of the disease and the first symptoms which started shortly after undergoing 3 teeth removal in September 2013. This dental surgery seems to have been the trigger of the disease and made him start to experience issues affecting the use of his left leg. Hope? Possible therapies: Because traditional medicine can't help him, Jerome has started to look into other ways and is under various therapies and treatments at present. One of the focus for Jerome is to reduce the infection caused by 14 infectious areas all located in is jaw, beneath his teeth and within the bone of his jaw. This seems to be at the source which triggered the disease. One surgery was performed but Jerome will need to go through 3 more surgeries to stop the infection to spread in his body. Other treatments and therapies will be then started. So even if slim, there is a chance and Jerome is fighting hard to find a solution in possibly new therapies. With his family: Jerome is at present resting in Dijon (France) within the close vicinity of his family. He has 2 young boys of ages 11 and 12 who are living in the South of France located about 3 to 4 hours away from Dijon. Seeing his children is now getting more challenging since he has now limited movement possibility. What are the ways to Help Jerome: 1. Finding more information and possible treatments solutions among our networks. 2. Communicate and send him support messages to tell him that the tennis community is behind him. 3. Provide a financial support to cover the costs of his surgeries, medical bills from an alternative parallel medicine. Therapy and Surgery Not Reimbursed by the Insurances: This funding campaign "Support Jerome with a donation" initiative comes from his very close players friends and tennis family. Jerome has never asked us to raise money for him but he did ask us to find possible therapies and treatments. We are his friends and even if Jerome made some substantial money in his years as a player, we all want to make sure that because of the high costs of surgeries and therapies undertaken which are not reimbursed by any insurance, that he gets all the necessary funding right from the star without needing to worry at any point. We want him to stay totally and fully focused on beating the disease. All his close friends in the tennis family are already contributing to this effort and together if we donate what we can, we can provide the necessary funding which could help Jerome win his fight. Fight against ALS: Jerome insists that the funds received will go in trying out nontraditional parallel therapies hoping to find solutions to this disease with the hope that these treatments will help others in the future. Jerome also intends to use his high profile image to raise awareness about the subject and to provide some funding to fuel the research efforts about this terrible disease. <div>In his fight against ALS, Jerome sais that he will distribute a substantial amount of the donations to various research organizations such and including the <a href="http://www.arsla-asso.com/sla-sclerose-laterale-amyotrophique-fr/a-la-une.html">ARSLA</a> organization. We all need to react quickly if we want to help Jerome. Speed is a key here. Don't be shy to inform to the people of your network who would want to help Jerome's cause?
