My name is Diluvina Ramos, a Venezuelan immigrant living in Houston, Texas, with my husband, Víctor, and my children. A few years ago, in Venezuela, my husband worked at the General Motors plant in Valencia, Carabobo, in the Paints area. It was an immense honor for us to be part of that great family. Unfortunately, with the crisis in our country and the expropriation of the plant, more than 5,000 families were left jobless, and we were forced to emigrate due to the dictatorship in search of a better future. Today, our dream is to build a Community Event Hall in Houston: a place where immigrant and local families can celebrate their most important moments—weddings, quinceañeras, birthdays, baptisms, cultural activities—without barriers and at affordable prices. Our Purpose This project is not just a hall: ✅ It will be a source of employment for immigrants seeking new opportunities. ✅ It will be a space for unity and celebration for families of all cultures. ✅ It will be a place where we can continue supporting health, education, and empowerment programs for those in need. How we will use the funds With your support, we will be able to: • Contribute to the initial rent or purchase of the hall space. • Equip it with the basics: tables, chairs, and initial decorations. • Hire and train immigrants for support services (waiters, cooking, cleaning, organization). Why we need your help We don't have the capital of our own to start this dream, but we do have the experience, discipline, and desire to contribute to the community. Your donation will not only help build an event hall, but will directly support immigrant and local families to find decent employment and the opportunity to celebrate their dreams and traditions. With your help, we can open the doors of this hall and transform lives. Thank you for being part of this project and for supporting our family and so many others.
