Hi my name is Ashleigh, I am an amateur dog rescuer, rescuing and rehoming street dogs in Turkey…however, this story is a little different. I received a call on 19 July about a Cocker Spaniel loose around a neighbourhood, he was emaciated, confused and fragile. He’s wearing a collar, does this mean he has an owner? Indeed he did. How he ended up in this state is a story I cannot go too far into, but he has been neglected for some time.  After 24 hours, the owner agreed to surrender her dog, he will be 13 years old in October After some initial blood work, x-rays and examinations, he is possibly very sick with suspected cancer from multiple tumours found on his body. However, we will remain hopeful. Right now, we are focussing on gaining some weight and treating his blood condition while making him stable enough to be able to fight any disease that may present itself after further testing. If you can help him in any way, I would be so grateful to raise some funds towards his vet fees, high quality food and a cosy new bed with some toys so he can feel a lot of comfort and love.
