He walks in an old pair of Nike's with no socks. I recently bought him two pairs of socks to protect his feet. 1 pair socks = $35. The prices are insanely high...$70 for two pairs of white ankle socks (I have pictures). That's almost the amount of daily food for his family of 7. Please help me help a family in a tangible, meaningful way. We are their only source of money to buy food. The $100/daily includes rice, vegetables, and a small amount of bread, but no meat. Luckily, they have not lost each other, and through that, they have still clung to some hope. But no one can survive on hope alone.

My brother Mahmoud had just earned a degree in IT and was about to start his first job. Three of my sisters married and had beautiful children, bringing great joy to the family. But in October 2023 everything changed. Our entire neighborhood in Gaza City was bombed mercilessly. My family members desperately tried to rescue helpless neighbors trapped under the rubble of their homes. Our cherished family home, where I grew up, has been reduced to rubble. My family was lucky to survive, but they had to flee, carrying only a few of their belongings.</span><br />

Urgent: I hope you can help my family in Gaza

<div> My name is Mary, I live in New Jersey.  My som Mohammed Maher, who currently lives in Gaza, Rafah area. I'm raising money to pay for his exit fees to the Egyptian authorities and to the organization that will facilitate his exit.

<div> More importantly, I'm raising funds provide him with medical treatment as he is in need of a new cardiac battery for his heart also known as a pacemaker. The funds will help him, his wife and 2 children exit to Egypt and get medical treatment.

<font color="#333333">In 2022 a year after battling Covid Cristina was still struggling to breathe and had coughing spells that left her dizzy, breathless and kept her up at night. It took little while but she was eventually diagnosed with fibrosis of the lungs.she was put on oxygen which would be increased to its maximum amount by this year. Cristina needed a dual lung transplant. She was put on the list and got her call .on April 21,2024. She had her surgery and was doing great… until she wasn’t. Her lungs had started to fail. With every test run and every scan done there were no reasons or explanations as to why this was happening. The doctors and nurses at UCSF are some of the best and they all rallied around her and gave her as much supportive care as they could but there was no improvement. As a family we decided we needed to give her every chance and every opportunity at life that we could so we relisted  her. May 10th we got our second and final shot and she headed into surgery. Unfortunately there were complications and her heart went into shock and her kidneys took a hit as her body had been through so much already. She had to be placed on ecmo for both her heart and lungs. She had multiple surgeries in the coming days to reevaluate her heart and to check on her lungs and to relieve the fluid that was starting to accumulate there. Sadly the second pair of lungs had officially begun to fail as she was again suffering from primary graft dysfunction. Everything that could be done, was done for her.  it just wasn’t enough. And she took her final breath.

On the 23rd of March we lost our loving generous and kind mother (mae, ma, and hunny) Cristina. She was a never ending source of light and laughter. She had the best laugh and the most contagious smile. her loss will forever leave a hole in each of us that we will struggle to live with for the rest of our lives.

In process of trying to honor Cristina’s final wishes to be buried next to her loving father and beloved grandparents we’re incurring expenses that we just did not foresee and ask for any help anyone may be willing offer. Our mom was diagnosed with fibrosis of the lungs in 2022 after struggling to breath and cough for about a year after having COVID. She is needing a lung transplant and going through everything with UCSF to have this massive surgery.
We are raising money as this is going to be a very costly event for my parents and as many of you know our dad has Parkinson’s and is unable to work. My mom is traveling back and forth now to UCSF for multiple tests and will continue to do so a few times a month even after her surgery. Once she has surgery, she will be in the hospital for a minimum of 3 weeks hoping there are no complications. After she is discharged from the hospital, she will need to live in San Francisco for 6-8 weeks and needs to be within 30 minutes of the hospital as she needs to be there right away if she is having any kind of complication as well as testing almost daily for those 6-8 weeks. The lodging for this stay will be costly, we are estimating anywhere from $15,000 - $25,000. She will also be placed on 15-20 different medications for the first year following the surgery. Not to mention the medical bills that will follow all of this. We know we are asking to raise a good amount of money and hoping with the support of everyone we can reach this goal or even surpass this.<br /> We would also like to mention ANY FUNDS LEFTOVER WILL BE DONATED TO ANOTHER PERSON ON THE TRANSPLANT LIST TRYING TO RAISE MONEY. WE WILL BE PAYING THIS FORWARD TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE IN NEED.

Helping Cristina get new Lungs

We are organizing this fundraiser for our friend, colleague, parent, and community member, Sarahi, a classified employee at Franklin Elementary. Her daughter, Khristine, in addition to having to undergo orthopedic treatment for her legs, has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease  (not the syndrome) and is facing numerous rounds of infusions as she courageously fights this horrible disease. Each transfusion costs $35K, of which insurance covers 80%, leaving Sarahi and her family with a debt of $7K each treatment. Sarahi and her son also have medical conditions that sometimes leave Sarahi unable to work, and the medical bills continue to mount. We are asking for your help today to ease the extreme financial stress on Sarahi and her family so that they can concentrate on her daughter's brave battle against Irritable Bowel Disease.

<div>My dissertation explores the teacher education practices of Black social movement organizations, specifically the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). Through archival analysis and interviews I am working to excavate conceptions of teacher education and Black education from the Mississippi Freedom Schools of 1964, an alternative site of education that was constructed and managed primarily by SNCC. The implications of my research includes new understandings of teacher education with a focus on preparing teachers to teach Black children, new considerations for curriculum development and for national legislative changes.

<div>As the trial for the men who murdered Ahmaud Arbery on Feb 21, 2020 begins in Brunswick, GA many supporters have asked how they can support his mother Wanda Cooper who has worked so hard to get to this day. Ahmaud fought for his life as he was assailed by three armed men that hunted him down in their trucks. Since his murder his mother has fought to bring those men to justice at great personal expense. Wanda Cooper performed independent research that revealed conflicts among the prosecutors handling her son's murder investigation. She has traversed the state of Georgia and has gone as far as the Whitehouse and the seat of the United States Congress to demand justice for her son.

Hello all we are the Tate family. I'm Greg and I'd like to introduce you to my beautiful wife Jasmine, along with our amazing 7 year old son lil Greg aka Munchkin and our gorgeous 5 week old daughter Ryan. Around 3pm on August 3rd our garage caught on fire while we were in the house spending quality time with loved ones who traveled across the country to meet Ryan. <br /><br />This was a reunion of siblings, with my sister and niece coming from the Carolinas and my brother and nephew visiting from Nevada, all of them suffered loss as well due to this fire.<br />After I discovered the fire in the garage, quick thinking took over and I was able to get ALL the family out of the house! We literally only the clothes on our backs, not even shoes.  The fire quickly spread in the house as we had watched the fire department rush to put the fire out. <br /><br />Unfortunately there was too much too fast and all is lost...<br />Now we are forced to rebuild our lives after this tragedy.<br /><br />We are asking that you donate anything to assist in this rebuilding process.<br /><br />Yes we had renters insurance, unfortunately we were informed of a possibly payout of 5k, which is clearly not enough to cover the rebuilding expenses for our family. As you also may know insurance claims can take weeks and months. Getting My Dad Readjusted to Society

Conor Adair is a senior that was just diagnosed with stage 3BXS advanced stage Hodkins lymphoma. His battle began years ago but went misdiagnosed for several years. This fight has required this family to adjust in ways that are beyond belief.  Conor is a wrestler and swimmer that is now missing his senior year in high school. Time is now spent fighting the multitude of symptoms from chemo treatment.  During his good hours Conor gets to play his video games and spend time with his classmates that have been a true rally system for him. As you can imagine, this fight has brought financial burdens that have added to their fight.<br />His medical care and food needs are expensive. The “mama bear” goes to multiple places frequently to get him what he can or will eat and also get relief aids that are not covered by insurances. Rachele Adair is a disabled “mama bear” that is on a limited income trying to spend every waking hour helping to heal her sons! Sean is the only brother of Conor and is need of treatment as well to help cope with this emotional roller coaster cancer has thrown them on. <br /><br /> Conor will be able to join a treatment study at Stanford university within the next several months that will increase his chances of bringing this cancer into remission. The family will have to stay out of town during treatment and planning is in the works! But..with all this family is enduring unexpected expenses should not be adding to their challenges.
