‏Hello friends, we are Iyad and Areej, coming to you from our tent in the occupied Gaza Strip, along with our three children; Yazan (14), Zain (11), and little Ayod (6). We have already lost so much, and continue to lose as the violence around us rages on. Our minds and bodies are fractured by the constant droning noise, the bombings and the places and people we once knew reduced to dust. Yet when children look up at you with any amount of hope in their eyes, there is no choice but to survive. Still we persist for our family.
<br /><br /> We’ve suffered through famine, death, disease, and many other things since the Israeli military launched its campaign of destruction in October, 2023, one week after I, Iyad, returned to Gaza to be with my mother. Little did I know I would become utterly trapped here. Our children are losing their childhoods, and we are losing our family. <br /><br />Areej lost a brother in 2025, and another has reached his GoFundMe goals, therefore has the resources to go once the opportunity arises. Our children’s young cousins, my brother’s children, will leave too. Although a great blessing, this is crushing for the children’s hearts and minds. Especially our youngest, Ayod, as he doesn’t understand why he’s losing a beloved friend and playmate; why his cousin gets to leave, and he has to stay and live out this nightmare.<br /><br /> We can’t do it alone; and bare survival alone cannot sustain the little hope that remains. Soon it will be gone and even the children will know nothing in life but this horror. Our focus is to raise the money needed for all five members of our family to escape Gaza and start anew. All we ask is that you hear our story, and feel moved to share what you can; to help us help our children. We must keep hope alive, escape from this hell and give these children all the education, opportunities, and resources they deserve. As well as show them the joy that life on the other side of darkness can hold. Thank you from the deepest place in our hearts. Your support gives life in the truest sense.

Evacuate My Family from Gaza to Safety

<div>Hi my name is Lenzi i’m from London and I’m fundraising on behalf of Shaima who lives in Gaza.
</div>
<div>The funds collect will help shaima with the cost of living for her and her family, to get foods, and proper shelter and basics necessities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is her story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Shaimaa, I’m 22 years old. Before the war, my life was simple but full of joy. I lived with my loving family in a peaceful home, surrounded by a wide garden filled with flowers. Every corner of that house held memories of laughter, warmth, and togetherness. We had dreams, routines, and a sense of safety.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But when the war began, everything changed in an instant. Our home was destroyed, and with it, the life we once knew. The memories we built there, the birthdays, the family dinners, the quiet mornings, all vanished under the rubble. What we lost wasn’t just walls and belongings, but the sense of stability that every family deserves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, we live in a small, worn-out tent. We are a family of ten crammed into a space that was never meant for living. We sleep beside insects, battle the heat, and face constant uncertainty. We’ve been displaced more than ten times, from the north to Rafah, then to Khan Younis, to overcrowded UN shelters, and now to the streets of Deir al-Balah, where our tent barely stands.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Life in this state is more than difficult, it’s exhausting, both physically and emotionally. We are not living, we are merely surviving.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With great humility, I’m reaching out and asking for help. Not out of weakness, but out of hope. Hope that someone, somewhere, will hear our story and choose to act.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support, no matter how small, could help us take one step closer to safety. It could mean a proper roof over our heads, access to clean water, and a moment of rest for my parents who carry this burden with quiet strength.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for listening to my story. And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for standing with us in this time of need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shaimaa.
</div>

Help Shaimaa and her family to survive in Gaza.

<div>I'm Luai Habil, a Louisiana Tech Graduate from Gaza. I'm creating this campaign on behalf of my Aunt Esan Mhanna and her two daughters, who are facing the imminent threat of danger every day in Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My Aunt Esan is a hardworking woman who once owned a clothing shop in Gaza. Just before the outbreak of the war, she and her husband managed to purchase their first apartment, which they haven’t gotten the chance to live in yet because the war started before their move-in date. At the beginning of the conflict on October 7th, Esan, along with her husband and two daughters, was living in a rented apartment in the northern region of Gaza. By mid-October, people were asked to evacuate their homes in northern Gaza and relocate to the south. They sought refuge at a relative's house already sheltering over (60 )individuals in a space meant for a maximum of (20). The scarcity of food and water became dire, relying solely on few food cans distributed every (20) days.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two weeks ago, they received a mandate to evacuate the neighborhood where their relative's house in the al Nuseirat camp is. Traveling by foot, they walked for hours until reaching Deir El Balah. Struggling to find available tents or accommodations due to the overwhelming influx of displaced people, they searched for hours until they found an empty store where they are sheltering now. They sleep on cold floor with no access to basic necessities such as food, water, electricity, or warm clothing for the cold winter. Queueing for more than 5 hours each day to fill their water bottles puts them at risk, as many in their vicinity have been shot while attempting to fill up water from fountains in the streets. Eissan, along with her daughters Layan and Lara, endure unimaginably tough conditions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How can we extend our help?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As previously mentioned, all areas in Gaza are dangerous, facing constant bombardment in both the north and south. Esan exhausted all her savings to purchase the apartment she will never live in, as it no longer exists. Survival now hinges on leaving Gaza and crossing the border into Egypt, requiring a minimum payment of 9000$ per person to buy permits. My Aunt is a young woman deserving of survival amid this brutal conflict, as well as countless innocent individuals, are in desperate need. Your generous donations can potentially save the lives of individuals deeply cherished by me.
</div>

Help My Aunt Flee The War In Gaza

<div>Hi, I'm Lia &amp; I'm organizing this fundraiser for my friends the Shehabs. They're currently trapped in Gaza and have survived a year of death and destruction. I've set up a bank account specifically for this campaign, to keep track of all donations. The funds raised will be transferred to the Shehabs to help them evacuate, and to survive in the meantime. Because the daily cost of living is astronomically high, some of these funds will also be used for basic necessities (e.g., food, medication). Please read the family's story below:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Sahar Shehab. I am 14 years old from Gaza. I ask you for urgent help in surviving to evacuating my family from Gaza to a safe place. We need help, our friends all over the world. We are 8 people: my father, mother, 3 younger sisters, my baby brother, and my grandmother.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83984471_1744624003187180_r.jpeg" width="100%" />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>My aunt's family (my father's sister) also need to leave with us. My father cannot leave his sister here in this danger and this war. My aunt's family consists of 5 members: my aunt &amp; her husband, and their 3 children. My aunt and her family are besieged in Gaza, just like us, and surrounded by danger. <strong>Her daughter, Iman, is an infant, only 5 months old, and was born during the war in very difficult circumstances</strong>. My father and my aunt are trying to save our family, get out of Gaza, and live in peace with our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We were displaced from our home in Gaza to the southern regions under inhumane conditions. The occupation bombed our house and the gym my father owned in the Gaza area.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83984471_1731225870341052_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To date, my family has been displaced over 15 times, enduring unimaginable hardships along the way. We were constantly in danger everywhere we went, narrowly escaping death from the shooting and bombing. There are no safe places in Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since our home was destroyed we have been living in a tent, and it is very difficult because there is no protection from the weather. Because it's winter now, it's very cold and the tent doesn't provide protection from rain. There is no running water and not enough food. My little sisters and my baby brother have all gotten very sick many times. It's also very, very hard for my parents and my aunt to find baby products for Iman. When baby formula and diapers are available, they are very expensive and don't last a long time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83984471_1731225902255849_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking you for help and asking you to donate so my family can survive in Gaza, until we can evacuate. Your help and donations will give us hope throughout the dark times we live. The money we collect will be allocated to cover the high expenses of my family, providing them temporary shelter, and provide the necessities for me &amp; my family during this difficult period. As we hope to evacuate as well, some of the funds will be used to cover the costs of living in Egypt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Evacuation Fees and Expenses</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Evacuation Permit Fees:</strong>
</div>
<div>The fee required for each person is $5,400 (USD). Since we are a family of 13, the total amount needed for evacuation permits is: 13 individuals × $5,400 = $70,200.
</div>
<div><em>*About half the funds half already been raised and released to the family in </em><a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-sahar-and-her-family-to-evacuate-gaza" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>their original GFM</em></a><em> (for information about this situation, feel free to email either organizer; hyperlink will take you to original GFM). </em><strong><em>About $35.5k (USD) remains to be raised</em></strong><em>. </em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Expenses:</strong>
</div>
<div>To ensure that my family’s basic needs are met (now &amp; after evacuation), we need to cover the following expenses (<strong>in USD</strong>):
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>$5,000: Living cost per month during the waiting period before the crossing opens, including purchasing a new winter tent and clothing for the children.
</div>
<div>$10,000 (x2): Rent in Egypt for 2-3 months (after evac).
</div>
<div>$10,000: Basic living expenses for 2-3 months (after evac).
</div>
<div>$1,600: Medical and healthcare expenses, including childbirth follow-up care.
</div>
<div>$3,500: Fees for GoFundMe.
</div>
<div>$7,600: Money transfer fees to Gaza, as the lack of cash requires a high transfer commission of up to 30%.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Total Expenses Required: $117,900 (<strong>USD</strong>).
</div>
<div><strong>Note: total expenses may change. Dependent on when crossing next opens &amp; when minimum funds for evacuation are met. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>*Goal will change (currently set to a temporary goal, to meet minimum required for all 13 individuals to evacuate). Dependent on CAD to USD exchange rate.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will have a profound impact on my family and provide them with the opportunity to rebuild our lives free from the constant threat of violence and persecution. Every dollar will make sure they have the chance to survive, and eventually find security and the opportunity for a brighter future. Please stand by my side during this time and help me to evacuate my family from Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I thank you from deeply for your support and understanding in these difficult moments.<em> </em>

<div>My name is Jumana Elmadhoun
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am writing on behalf of my cousin, Heba, whose family resides in Gaza and is in desperate need of being reunited with their loved ones. Heba pregnant, and a mother of five, faced a health crisis that compelled her to seek treatment in Ramallah just a day before the conflict erupted in Gaza. Tragically, she was separated from her one-year-old baby and the rest of her children, leaving them in the care of their father.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Yahia, her one-year-old baby, and her four stepchildren who lost their mother a few years ago
</div>
<div>- Aziz: 16 years old
</div>
<div>- Zeina: 15 years old
</div>
<div>- Hazem: 12 years old
</div>
<div>- Abdel Rahman: 9 years old
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Heba's separation from her family has inflicted profound emotional wounds, particularly on her stepchildren who had already lost their biological mother years ago. For them, losing Heba feels like losing a mother twice over. The anguish, powerlessness, and guilt weigh heavily on Heba, compounded by the constant fear and insecurity she endures, knowing her family is in dire need of her support during these harrowing times.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The children, deprived of their primary caregiver, now rely solely on their father, who shoulders the immense responsibility of meeting their physical and emotional needs amidst the chaos of war. The youngest child, unable to access nutritious food or even milk, is a heartbreaking reminder of the deprivation they face daily.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their experiences are marred by the horrors of war—escaping death multiple times, witnessing destruction, and enduring the trauma of being trapped under heavy shelling. The psychological toll is evident as they struggle to cope, desperately needing time to heal and recover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Once, Heba's home was a sanctuary—a place filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Now, it lies in ruins, destroyed along with their belongings and precious memories. Forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on their backs, they now find themselves displaced, living in a tent in Rafah, where basic necessities like clean water and proper food are scarce.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Each day in Gaza is fraught with the terrifying uncertainty of survival, as the threat of violence looms over their heads. The urgency of reuniting Heba with her family cannot be overstated. Your support in helping them leave Gaza and enabling Heba to give birth surrounded by her loved ones is invaluable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your generosity is not just a donation; it is a beacon of hope in the face of adversity, a lifeline for a family torn apart by conflict. Please donate and share their story with your network. Your solidarity and compassion can make a world of difference to Heba and her family. Words cannot express the depth of gratitude for your support.

Two Years of Separation_ A family’s endless Suffering

<div>Hi my name is Eli and I am trying to raise funds for dental surgery. I need to be put under anesthesia and have all of my teeth extracted to prepare for dentures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am about to be 32 years old and I am finally ready to do something about my state of my teeth. I feel so much shame for this and it’s been really hard asking for help. But I know if I don’t do this soon the infection, from having multiple broken teeth, will kill me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Trigger ⚠️ warning: abuse. Child sexual abuse.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A brief story on how my teeth got this bad: I was molested from age 2-10(I’m guessing ages because I’m unsure when it began or ended. This is my best guess). After that going to the dentist became very rough. It’s still nearly impossible and I have to be sedated the entire time. I also grind my teeth very hard(therapist said it’s probably related to the abuse) when I’m sleeping and that has caused stress cracks in all of my teeth. That coupled with lack of dental hygiene (due to depression/anxiety/ptsd) and multiple pregnancies I now have lost a large amount of my teeth.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because of this it’s difficult to eat. And I have an infection that has been there for roughly 5 years. It is antibiotic resistant and the only thing that will cure it is removing the infected teeth.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately it is cheaper (and in my opinion easier) to replace all the teeth with dentures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If I am able to obtain insurance that will cover any part of the procedure it should cost around $7000.
</div>
<div>breakdown:
</div>
<div>$100 per tooth (easy removal) x20 = $2,000
</div>
<div>$900 per denture (top and bottom) = $1,800
</div>
<div>$500 anesthesia (per 30 mins) x2 = $1,000
</div>
<div>$300 cost of surgical extraction (complicated)x7 = $2,100
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will also need to purchase said dental insurance which is roughly $100/month
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That brings our total to $7,000 exactly. But I am hoping to get more. I do need to cover lost wages for the time it takes to heal as well as some of my husband’s lost wages for the time he will be caring for me and not at work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you have made it this far I great appreciate you taking time to read a little about my life. If you would please consider donating it would absolutely change and save my life! Thank you
</div>
