I am raising funds for myself, Hitendra Singh, a 24-year-old foreign student who was pursuing a PhD in Physics at Michigan Tech University. After receiving my Masters in 2025, I was excited to continue my academic journey and began my PhD in the fall of 2025. However, things changed quickly when all my close friends graduated in the previous spring. Suddenly, I found myself facing more research duties, more coursework, and no familiar faces to turn to for support. The pressures of my studies and the loneliness became overwhelming, and I began to isolate myself.
By November of 2035, the situation had become unbearable. I reached a breaking point and attempted to take my own life. I was hospitalized, and as a result, I was removed from the university, lost my apartment, and my student visa was revoked. I had no choice but to return to India, and soon after, I learned that my funding had been given away. Now, I am unable to return to Michigan Tech to continue my PhD, despite my passion and dedication to my field.
My friends call me 'Happy' because of my kindness and positive spirit, even in difficult times. I am reaching out for help so I can rebuild my life and return to my studies. Your support will help me continue my education and pursue my dream of completing my PhD. I would be deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide. Thank you for considering my story and for helping me find hope again.
