Gemma Elizabeth

Gemma has been my best friend since the day I brought her home. She’s the sweetest girl I’ve ever had, and it feels like we can communicate and understand each other with just a simple look. She’s a wonderful big sister to Sadie and baby brother Kitty, always gentle and loving. Recently, Gemma began showing signs of severe pain, and it was heartbreaking to see her suffer. I rushed her to the vet for an emergency visit, where x-rays revealed that some of the vertebrae in her spine did not form correctly. The disks between those malformed vertebrae have almost completely disintegrated, leaving her in constant discomfort. Her primary veterinarian referred us to a diagnostic specialist who can take MRI’s to properly diagnose her condition and determine the best course of action. The funds raised will help cover the diagnostic requirements, including specialist visits and MRI scans, to determine if Gemma is suffering from a degenerative disease like IVDD. Getting a clear diagnosis is the first step toward finding the right treatment and giving Gemma the best chance at a pain-free life. It’s a helpless feeling not being able to immediately remedy her pain, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I know times are tough and everything is getting more expensive, so I feel terrible having to ask for help. But Gemma has been there for me through some of the most difficult moments in my life, and now it’s my turn to do everything I can for her. I am so grateful for any support, and I know Gemma is as well. Please help me help my sweet girl.
